Duke University, known as the home of the Blue Devils, is a university in Durham, North Carolina with outstanding medical courses. The name Blue Devils comes from the French "les Diables Bleus" or "the Blue Devils," which was the name given during World War I to the Chasseurs Alpins. The private college is extremely diverse and offers many graduate and undergraduate programs. It is divided into 10 schools/colleges they offer both undergraduate and graduate programs for students. Duke University is an in-state college it is around two hours away from Mooresville, NC. It is a suburban school setting with many things around to do around the university. One of their many program I'm interested in is their amazing long list of many Phycology programs. They offer Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, Neuroscience, and Social programs, Im mostly interested in their Social Phycology program. I like that they have a variety of different programs to choose from so you don't have to be forced to choose only one.Phycology isn't their only well known program they are also most known for their Popular Policy Analysis, General Biology, Biological Sciences, General Economics. Since all students on their first three years are required to live on campus they have many accommodations for the students. So that means if you love on campus you have to set up some form of a meal plan. They also have several places to eat at around campus just a few of them are Panda Express, Nasher Cafe, Chick-Fil-A, and Monuts Donuts. Duke University has around 30 buses for students to commute around campus and other places, they have a route called the Robertson Scholars route between UNC Chapel Hill and Duke University. Duke University also has a route to their own hospital named Duke University

    A. Phillip Randolph was known as a radical journalist, a labor leader, and a pioneer of civil rights. His mission was to unite blacks against the discrimination which shut them out of well paying jobs in the factories.
