Reasons why one should not drink and drive It should be obvious to everyone that you should never drink, and drive. However, every year, month, week, and day alcohol has been able to influence so many people that it is ok to drink, and drive. As a matter of fact research by (Buddy T) as shown that judgment impairment begins long before a person reaches the legal level of 0.08, to be considered drunk driving. That is why drinking and driving is not right, it is wrong! When a person drinks and drive they are putting everyone that crosses their path in danger. An individual who drinks and drives takes the chances of getting a DUI, a fine, and their license taken away. But most of all, when a person drinks and drives them take the chance of going to jail. Many People do not understand the danger that they put others in when they drink, and drive. While driving under the influence a person can run a red light, all because he/she wasn’t thinking straight, as a result it could cause an accident. According to the NHTSA
(National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), almost 40% of all traffic accidents are alcohol related. That means that 4 out of every ten accidents are alcohol related. Also reported by the
NHTSA is that an estimated amount of 36 innocent people are killed, and 700 are injured every day in the U.S. So what this means is that 736 innocent people fall victim to others bad decision every day, to drink, and drive. Some people have been known to drink and drive with kids in the vehicle. By doing so the drunken drive is showing no concern for the kids in the car, the person or people they might hit, or the property they might damage.
