Driving Persuasive Speech
The cabin is the best place to ever be during the year. We can do a whole lot of things like fishing, riding pontone, kayaking, and so much more. But, there are a couple downfalls like the drive and packing. After we get there driving and packing didn’t even matter anymore. Leaving always the tough part, you don’t want to but you have too. The ride home is always a fun one though. It all starts with packing the night before, which is the worst thing ever. I also have to get the jet ski ready. We usually pack after a game and it always seems hotter than normal. I have to get all the drinks in the cooler with ice. Than I have to put like 5 bags worth of food right by the fridge of the camper. I usually pack more than I need, but still forget …show more content…
Tubing is one of my favorite things to do. The thrill you get back there is unreal. Knowing if you fall off it’s most likely gonna hurt a little bit, but all that depends on how fast the driver is going. The best time was also the worse time, it was when my older brother Logan was driving. It was going 25 miles per hour around turns which back there feels like 125 miles per hour. I was immediately knock off and rolled on top of the water for a good 15 yards. That happen for roughly 15 minutes in a row, which absolutely sucked. Then I got a turn to whack him off. I gave him the hammer and went around 30 around turns, which I couldn’t believe what it feels like back there. The first time he rolled for like 20 yards on top of the water doing barrel rolls like no other. That went on for 5 minutes, Logan said “That he would never do that again going that fast”.
After all the tubing we did, I usually go fishing on the kayak. Now fishing on the kayak is really fun, but really tiring, I hate going up the current and dealing with all the waves. Fishing really beats all of the kayaking part. Reeling in the big fish is always brings me a big ole smile. Fishing at the cabin has always been tough for me, I mostly don’t catch a bass and when I do it’s definitely not huge. But still reeling in a fish gets you

Well I went for a weekend she stayed a whole week. But I had a really fun experience because it was my first time tubing and my first time being in an actual boat and not a cruise boat. When me and my friend were tubing we would sing songs the whole time and argue about leg room on the tube and eventually push each other off because of the silly arguments. We stayed w1ith her family friends and they made amazing food everyday and they were all so nice. Almost every day me and Lynne would walk up to the store and get a loaf of bread and a coke or ice cream or whatever sounded good at the time and go to the end of the dock and feed the ducks. We named all of them but only remembered this all black duck with a white beak and we named him Castiel after her favorite character in Supernatural. Then we would just start naming the ducks, fish and other animals that we saw after people from our favorite shows. Like I was naming ducks after people in orange is the new black and american horror story. I had a really fun time but there were also some scary times too, we saw a rope swing and one of the family friends were on it and jumped off and his foot became stuck in the hole in the bottom and couldn't get off for a while. Then the next day his friend fell while getting off the boat and their tube came loose. But even with the downfalls in the trip, I still had a fun time with my best friend and it has…

Kayak fishing has gained in popularity the last few years at a blistering pace. For many fishermen, it's the perfect compromise. With a kayak, you are able to maneuver onto the water to fish areas that would be unreachable from shore. All the benefits, without the monthly payment typically associated with a big boat. Kayaks are easy to store, and easy to move. It's a joy to effortlessly and silently make you way along a shoreline, fishing for your species of choice. Before we go any further, rest assured you won't need to learn the barrel roll. You can leave your nose plug at home. I have fished in my kayak for about five years, and have never taken a spill. For this sport, the recreational kayak is the craft of choice. We'll leave the whitewater…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

When we first arrive we set up our tents at the campsite faster than elves making presents on Christmas Eve. I could hear the nice clean, glistening lake calling my name so I go for a swim. Every year I learn something new up there and the best thing I learned was how to fish and clean their scaly bodies. As the day grows old the temperature would go down and we make a fire that puts some warmth in the cold night air. We later cook some smores after we eat our hot dogs for dinner and oh man are those smores delicious. We tell stories before we go to bed and some of those stories are scary but I stopped getting scared after I was 11years old. The first night you always get the best sleep.…

The lake has a dock and a swimming area you can swim out to the dock it is really cool even in the mornings it is cold but nice at the same time. One time we went on a drive and got the jeep stuck in the mud it was pretty funny but my dad wasn’t laughing. One time he let me drive the jeep, and I got stuck? Yeah, it wasn’t very funny when I had to push it out. Well back to my fishing stories, in the morning’s I go fishing but most of the time I don’t catch anything. The only time I catch something is when I put a hot dog on my line, I was pretty happy. I hope i go this summer it is so beautiful. We never stayed in a tent because of all the moisture that the river would give off. In the mornings, when we did stay in the tent, my family and I would wake up feeling drenched with water. We had a new camper that was big enough to fit five people. The trailer was white with a stripe going down the side. It had a huge dining table that turned into a double bed. There was a bunk bed, which also has departments in for different storage. There was a hallway that leads to a king size bed where my parents slept. All of the sheets are dirty from all the dirt that was brought into the trailer.…
