Ruth Lake Research Paper
The place I feel content at is Ruth lake this is because it is fun when it is warm and when you have a boat because you get to go tubing. Sometimes you might see your friends there and get to do things with them. There is also deer season in the fall and that means I get to go camping. You can also go onto the mountains and have a view of the shining water of the lake.

This is why I feel most comfortable at Ruth lake I get to see my friends on the lake and meet up with them at their cabins sometimes. Also I go to my friends cabin’s with them for the weekend in the summer. We then usually go tubing and then jump into the shining clear water of the lake. My favorite time of the season to go to Ruth lake is in the summer when the water is warm and the sun is out. I also like the lake because you can fishing, which is fun for me. Also when you're driving by open fields you can see deer grazing in the fields and wild turkeys running around, also you can hawks and ospreys.

You can hike, kayak, and canoe here. You can fish waist-deep in rivers as clear as glass. And you can watch the best fish catcher of all, the great Alaskan brown bear, sometimes diving completely under the water for its prey, sometimes catching fish in midair. Summertime! The sunshine filters through the verdant lodgepole pine trees towering over our tiny campsite. The aroma of alpine evergreens, crisp mountain air and wispy campfires linger in my memory. Freshly caught trout are frying in the pan, all of which combines to marry the wonder of it all. Our campsite is ten miles east of Glacier National Park in northwestern Montana. This is Duck Lake; a pristine fishing destination nestled in the shadow of the majestic Rocky Mountains. The breathtaking outburst of mountains from the prairies conjures images of nature's own cathedrals. The lake itself lies in a depression created by a mammoth block of ice left behind as the glaciers…

During my time at Raquette Lake, not only did I learn from other people but also learned things about myself. I will admit, at first, hearing about Raquette Lake did not sound very appealing to me. I wasn't looking forward to "roughing it" out in the woods with a bunch of people I hardly knew, especially on a Friday and Saturday. Once we got there my whole perspective quickly changed and I found myself forgetting about what I thought I'd be missing back at Cortland and just enjoying the beautiful scenery that was surrounding me.…

Now let’s move on to the Westland National Park. It is famous for its mountains and two dominant glaciers, Fox and Franz Josef. They are the closest glaciers to the coastline of any in the world outside the polar regions. Lowland areas in the park are covered in an ancient Beech forest which are backed by steep cliffs and mountains. It’s a contradiction to view glaciers from a rain forest, but this phenomenon is explained by the areas steepness and high rainfall. The coastline is a short drive away and onroute there are some great views of the glaciers and mountains reflecting in lakes that are scattered around this area. Westland National Park offers many activities for visitors such as a guided trek up one of the glaciers or a helicopter ride to the top of the Southern Alps, a mountain range bigger in area than the European Alps. To conclude, if you want nature and spectacular scenery, and you don't mind the likelihood of some rain, then Westland National Park is a great place to visit.…

The lake has a dock and a swimming area you can swim out to the dock it is really cool even in the mornings it is cold but nice at the same time. One time we went on a drive and got the jeep stuck in the mud it was pretty funny but my dad wasn’t laughing. One time he let me drive the jeep, and I got stuck? Yeah, it wasn’t very funny when I had to push it out. Well back to my fishing stories, in the morning’s I go fishing but most of the time I don’t catch anything. The only time I catch something is when I put a hot dog on my line, I was pretty happy. I hope i go this summer it is so beautiful. The quiet and calmness is what gets to me the most while I’m out there exploring the woods whether it be while I’m hunting, fishing, or just taking a walk. I was raised in a family that has the same belief about the wilderness.
