What I Learned at Driving School Driving school was quite the experience for me. To say the least, it was extremely interesting. I learned so much from this course, which I did not even know I could learn so much about driving in four hours! Throughout my paper, I will talk about the main topics that I learned and what I expect to make me a better driver. The Alabama Graduated Drivers License Law was one of the main things I learned during this course. This law is very important today and became affected on October 1, 2002. A Fifteen year old with a valid learner’s license are to be accomplished by a parent or legal guardian of the age of twenty-one with a valid divers license. This law states that six-teen year olds must not operate a vehicle between midnight and six a.m. unless certain procedures. At this age, you must also not have more than four passengers in your car (three friends, driver, parent—MAX!) This law is extremely important. If residents do not follow this law, it can cause danger to other drivers. Traffic laws are something EVERYONE needs to follow. While attending driving school, the main reason why people were attending was for speeding. Including myself, driving school has taught me the dangers of speeding. Speeding is not always the cause of crashes, but it is a main event in this situation. Alabama’s basic speed law provides that you must never drive a vehicle at a speed that is faster than the reasonable speed. Weather, roadwork, and your car conditions determine the reasonable speed limit. Traffic laws are no joke! All the speed limit signs are the MAXIMUM limit you can go. There are also some conditions where driving very slow is dangerous as well. By this, drivers who block or hinder other traffic by driving at low speeds can cause many accidents. Slow speeds are necessary when you cross a street, railroads, and approaching flags, flares or fuses in the road. Speed limits on roads with construction workers are something we all
