Cultural Diversity: Imagine All the People

Cultural diversity will support the idea that every person can make positive and unique contribution to larger society because of rather than being in differences. If in a place diversity is valued and respected; various cultures and their ideas are valued and acknowledged; all groups of people are encouraged; people are encouraged to achieve their goals and their differences are celebrated as per “Lisa D. Belfield.” Diversity can be described as people coming from different religions, sexes, nationalities, and races to form a community. An organization is said to diverse if it values the difference in people and it recognizes people from different backgrounds. Diverse organizations employ and encourage the new ideas from different cultures to make their best in order to meet the needs of the society. Most people in today’s society view diversity as a good thing because they can experience different things than they are normally accustomed to. For example in our classroom we have people from different countries and all of us are raised in different cultures which gives us an opportunity to learn about the new culture that we are not familiar with. Diversity creates the curiosity to learn about a new culture. “Diversity is a positive thing not something to fear” (Pendulum).It is important to consider the different aspects in diversity. Diversity plays a major role every day and everywhere.
