Disney Channel Placement Essay

I wish to apply for the placement for programming and Scheduling on the Disney Channel, currently being advertised on the Disney careers website. Please find enclosed my CV for your consideration.

I have chosen to apply for a job at Disney because you are one of the leading companies currently in the television industry, due to which I believe I will truly be able to grow and expand on my skills and industry knowledge with your help. I already have a moderate amount of in-studio and on-location filming experience under my belt but have not yet experienced what it is really like to work behind the scenes at a big company such as Disney, so I feel this placement would be the perfect next step in my career.

This specific placement stood out to me because it is linked very closely to my area of studies (That being television and broadcasting) but has a focus on an area of the broadcasting process that many may overlook but is a crucial and vital part of the overall process. I know that i would not only do good work on this placement but would also be passionate and enjoy the work that I do.
I have lots of prior experience with using Microsoft Office since I have had to use Excel, Word, and powerpoint often within my course. I grew up watching the Disney Channel so I feel I have an extra layer of background knowledge on the target audience of the shows and how the scheduling on the channel is usually laid
