If you purchase your park tickets through AAA (which I found to be the cheapest) and you are planning to drive to the parks you should take advantage of the Diamond Parking Spaces which are right up front. You receive a Diamond Lot permit in your ticket packet to display on your dashboard. No need to wait for and take trams out to outer parking areas. Quick entry and exit. Thanks to Chris for this tip

Having been at Disney World during the summer, one thing is for sure - you can always count on a rain shower. Then it happens. Hundreds of people whip out rain ponchos or purchase ponchos - all clear! It can be near to impossible to locate a member of your party, especially one of your children, when everyone looks alike. Purchase rain ponchos at home in a bright color; red, blue, orange, lime green - anything other than yellow, and keep them with you for the inevitable - you'll be able to spot your party a lot easier. Thanks to Terri for this tip!
When we go to Disney World, we always make sure we pack enough new and shiny pennies and alot of quarters. In most of the shopping stores you can make your own character quarters or pressed pennies. We pack our quarters in the mini M&M's tube containers. They are very easy to pack and quarters are not all loose in your backpack. Each container can hold about $14.00 worth of quarters. You can also store your pennies in a tube. Thanks to John for this tip!
After you park your car at one of the Disney World parks, take a photo of the designated name where your car is located. I use my cell phone to take the pic and when I leave I have a visual location of where I parked my car. Thanks to Fran for this tip!
If you are planning to go to WDW at the end of October, be prepared for evening showers. It's a good idea to take your own poncho if you find one under $5 dollars. Of course when it rains all the stores take out all the ponchos so you can buy it there, and if you don't really care, buy the ones that have no Mickey

I grew up watching and loving everything Disney, still do to this day, and became obsessed with multiple films. I remember being a child and always wanting to watch “The Lion King” whenever I got the chance. My family would take me down to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in Florida, every year just so I could see them perform this live. My inner child was elated to learn that I would have the chance to see “The Lion King” live. Multiple people told me how wonderful the show is and I couldn’t wait to see this for myself. I kept thinking this would be like how they performed the show that is down in Animal Kingdom, but was I totally wrong. They recreated a Disney masterpiece in a way that did not disappoint the audience and want them to come back for…

    Walt Disney and Toy Story

In 2005 the managers of Pixar Animation Studios were facing a crisis. The company’s ten-year partnership with Disney was about to end and the company had three options: draft a new agreement with Disney, find a new partner, or set up their own marketing and distribution network.[1] Renewing the partnership with Disney seemed, to many, like an obvious choice. The arrangement had been a boon to the fledgling studio when it was first starting out. Disney had provided most of the funding[2] and had given Pixar’s movies top flight marketing support[3] in exchange for ownership of Pixar’s characters and a substantial percentage of the profits. Pixar had grown, however, and had accumulated enough funds to finance its own films.[4] Forty-five percent of the operating income for Disney’s film operations came from the sale of Pixar’s movies, and Disney’s own marketing research showed that mothers trusted the Pixar name more than Disney.[5] A study of box office receipts revealed that four of the ten top-grossing “Disney” movies in the history of the company (including live action films) had been Pixar products. Pixar’s Finding Nemo, released in 2003, was the highest grossing film ever released under the Disney banner though Disney’s own studios had not produced the film. It had broken the record formerly held by The Lion King.[6] Disney’s executives, however, had refused to “give” on a number of important issues, and Pixar’s managers had given up on trying to negotiate with them in 2004.[7]…

When Walt Disney was dreaming about the construction of Disneyland, America was becoming the strongest military force in the world. After WWII, there were many “booms” occurring in America, including economy boom, suburb boom, and baby boom. These three booms set a perfect era for the creation of Disneyland. The economic boom came because the government conducted construction of interstate highways and schools. The economic growth further accelerated as the government also spent more money on military, which advanced goods like airplanes and computers. This growth in the economy gave confidence to middle class people and allowed them to spend money to travel and enjoy family time. Because more people were able to pay for leisure activities,…

Fairy tales are very old; many of them had been orally passed on through the centuries, and evolved a lot. This kind of story, initially intended for children, often involved some fanciful creatures or extraordinary adventures. Fairy tales might include a moralistic stance or warning against dangers but always have an ethical undercurrent to the story, a "lesson" to be learned. In this paper, we are going to discuss the good and the bad effects of Disney fairy tales on children. Walter “Walt” Elias Disney was an American producer, very popular for recycling old fairy tales by turning them into famous cartoons. He adapted those stories for children. Fairy tales have both negative and positive effects on children but positive effects outweigh the bad ones.…

That someone is a little boy or girl, only ten years old. He or she is the same age as the daughter of the mother who will purchase the toy constructed, unaware of the story that tells how Mickey’s sewn on smiling face came to be. In 2012 specifically, seventy-six nations had child labor laws in place, yet Disney, a company based around children, still takes part in the immoral practice that eliminates human rights and puts adolescents…
