Determination vs. Discipline
In the game of sports determination and discipline are the two key factors needed in order to succeed aside from team work. The world of athletics is filled with countless aspects and which the two strongest and most meaningful are determination and discipline.

Through determination the average person becomes not so average because not only is he working like the rest but has a fixed intention to achieve a specific purpose. Determination is drastically important in sports because it is the self devotion and self commitment that you give in order to achieve a certain task. There is no other way to success in sports than giving your best and not giving up because at the end of the day the true victor is the one who left everything he had that night and was determined to do all he could to better his team. The determination that comes out from within is one that is of human motivation and personality, one that concerns peoples growth tendencies and their innate psychological needs. It is when the motivated choices that people make, without external influence and interference, guide them and make the intangibles tangible. The Self-Determination Theory is in every athlete and is what bonds a team together. "Self-discipline begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don't control what you think, you can't control what you do. Simply, self-discipline enables you to think first and act afterward." Napolean Hill. Without self-discipline personal success, goals, and achievements would not be realized.
