Differences In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

“For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy written by Shakespeare in 1595, became one of the most famous written plays by Shakespeare simply because of its heart-wrenching plot, the need to love, tragic deaths, and one of the biggest feuds in play history. During this play, Romeo and Juliet find love where they shouldn't have by alignment of the stars. The Montagues, Romeo's family, and Capulets, Juliet's family, are feuding over the unknown. Romeo and Juliet is so well-known that many remakes have not lived up to the play itself. Romeo and Juliet, produced by Franco Zeffirelli in 1968, is one of the best reenactments of the tragedy. However, Shakespeare lovers have to disagree with the many differences put into the story by Hollywood. The character that had a big role in the way which affected the plotline most is the nurse. In both the play and movie, Nurse helps Romeo and Juliet find a way to become married and stay together hroughout the play before Romeo's banishment with the help of Friar Lawrence.
