I have chosen to use the Standards Based Grading record type to help me see where my students need help. I have also chosen this grading system because the student is graded based on their understanding and growth. Gatsby has struggled in his understanding of two of the five assignments for this objective. He has a proficient or highly proficient level of understanding on three assignments and a below proficient level of understanding on the other two assignments. On the assessments, Gatsby has a proficiency score of 3 on two assessments and a score of 2 on the other assessment. This means Gatsby has an approaching proficient level of understanding on one assessment and proficient on the other two assessments.…

When describing AE scores to parents or other professionals not familiar with the AE scoring, they might conclude the client with the AE score of 14 is below average and the AE score of 22 is gifted. Conversely, this range is average for AE scores in this test.…

The topic that I chose to read is the “Bogyman Syndrome”, which seems to be very common in today’s society. Bogyman syndrome is basically a fear that parents have from allowing their children the freedom they themselves enjoyed when they were young. This type of fear that parents have is what separates their child from the full benefits of nature and from having a healthy normal childhood. Many of the reason to why parents experience such fear is because in the type of society we live in, which is full of crime, drugs, violence and of course kidnappers. What many people don’t realize is that many of these things are feared because of the way the media presents it.…
