The Hunger Games Suzanne Collins has created a master piece trilogy that has new and old readers having nonstop reading sessions to get through the books. It all started with the first book of the trio, The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games begins with Katniss Everdeen and her sister getting ready for the all crucial name drawing for who would participate in the annual Hunger Games. In the beginning, Katniss has to make the most sacrificial duty to protect her sister and volunteer to be the representative for District 12. Her sister Prim was called on to be the tribute for the district that they live in. After the commotion comes down, they pick the male competitor who will compete alongside Katniss in the Hunger Games. During Katniss’ and Peeta’s adventure to the Capitol, they begin to encounter new things that they have never seen or experienced. They were given a tutor to help them out during the games. They are given the advice to portray themselves as great competitors and loveable people at the same time. By doing so they would get people to sponsor them during the games with necessities for survival. They go through extensive training to prepare for the dangerous they can encounter during the Hunger Games. During their voyage in the Capital, Peeta invents a story that he and Katniss are a couple. Even though Katniss becomes upset with Peeta about this, their mentors Cinna, Haymitch, and Effie notify Katniss about the brilliant scenario that Peeta has created. This situation that Peeta has put them will bring them a lot of sponsors and will give them better odds to survive the Hunger Games. When the Hunger Games begin, Katniss becomes separated from the other Districts and decides to hide. To her surprise, she sees the Peeta is helping the other Districts track her down to kill her.
