God put Adam and Eve in the garden and forbid them to eat the fruit that will open their eyes. They disobey him and eat the fruit after getting tempted by the devil. God in his merciful and who love humanity sent his only son to earth to die for our sins, and if we believe in his blood that wasted for us at the cross then we will get salvation. “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). God do not distinguish who can get salvation, he does not make any distinction between poor, rich, helpless.
