Debate Idea About Money
* Money is important. Money is important. Without money you can't buy your favorite things or live in a normal life. True love? Friendship? It will only lead to sad endings and you can't bring that to the bank and make you happy. Money makes me happy because of these things and nothing more.
Posted by: Anonymous * Money is crucial for daily needs. An abundance of money may make us solitary, but a lack of money will most certainly create stress. Why is education so important? So we can be successful in later life. Being in poverty will not let us be free to indulge ourselves in what we want. It is a materialistic world and we have materialistic needs which needs MONEY. We buy things to make ourselves happy and others happier.

* Money is enough to make anyone happy.
People don't realize that without money, you could possible not be living. Modern medicine studies were funded by money. People use money to buy necessities which are also thing to make you more comfortable. You need money to have kids (something that makes you happy). Money is the foundation for your home... Well unless you chopped down your own trees and built it yourself. Making, transportation, fine dining, entertainment, technology, medicine, etc. Those are all things that need you to involve money in order to obtain them.

* For those who think money cannot bring true happiness Think? Can you pay your bills with a hug?
In today's world money can buy everything even happiness. You may be very friendly and lovable but people will not at all care to be with you unless you have money. The importance of money can only be known to a mother whose child is dying out of hunger or to a wife who doesn't have enough money to cure her sick and dying husband. * Everything but money I should be happy. I have a great husband and a beautiful daughter. But I'm not, I'm depressed because we don't have enough money to meet our basic needs (a place to live/rent, transportation).

Although money can buy our necessary needs such as a bed, computers, books, food, and acquaintances, it can't buy respect, common sense, a purpose in life, a close-knit family and a strong work ethic. In my opinion, money can buy the illusion of happiness, but the true happiness has no money value. Also, money can also ruin your social relationship between your friends and family. From the story "The Scholarship Jacket", it told a story of a girl, named Marta, who grew up her with her father, who was a farm laborer, but he didn't make enough money to feed eight of his children. So she moved to live with her grandparents But despite having no money, she had a loving family, and it didn't stop her from working hard to achieve her goals, to have…

This never ending pursuit of money has made the society a selfish one. People forget that there are many things that money can't buy. A Chinese proverb summarizes this argument very well by saying that money can buy a house but it cannot make a home, that it can not buy time, sleep knowledge, health, respect and a good life only the material aspects can be bought but not ones that come from within. Stephen R. Covey in his book ' seven habits of highly effective people also mentions that some of us tend to be centered around money and so our sense of security and happiness is directly related to how much money we have and since its human nature to never be satisfied with what one has he is likely to remain unhappy most of the time. Even a huge increase in wealth is unlikely to satisfy such a person. For this purpose we need to alter our centres to what we really want at the end of our…

I disagree with Aristotle and this form of logic; therefore, money is vital for survival at the present time. Money is needed for food, housing, transportation, and these things are needed for survival. According to Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, there are five phases that you need to accomplish to become a self-actualized person. They are physiological needs, which are food and water, lodging and air. The second phase is security needs, and they need to feel safe and secure, which could be living in a good neighborhood. The third phase is social needs, which are love and belonging, for example family. The fourth phase is esteem needs, which are self-esteem and accomplishments. The last phase is self-actualizing needs, and few people reach this stage. Self-actualizing people are concerned with personal development, and not concerned with what others think, nevertheless fulfilling their full potential. An example is Abraham Lincoln and John F.…

There is a quote “Money is necessary for a person to live a happy life but does not, in itself, guarantee happiness.” In my opinion, it depends on what type of lifestyle you live. If you have an extravagant taste, for example, you will need money to satisfy your needs. But if you live a rather simplistic life, you won’t need nearly as much money to conciliate your desires. Overall, I disagree with this quote.…

The question as to whether happiness is defined by money is often times brought up. Many people would argue that money does not create happiness, and rather make the argument that happiness is created through what you make out of your life. On the other hand, one could argue that happiness is related to monetary gains, and that the more money you have the happier you are. There are probably a hundred different thoughts on what happiness is, but happiness is truly defined as when someone acquires personal satisfaction in life, which can often times be achieved through monetary gains.…

Money is always the topic of discussion when debating weather happiness resides within the amount of paper or dwelling with beyond concepts. Many do not understand what the value of a dollar is but some understand what each dollar is worth. Hollywood actors have money but are they really happy inside? No one knows what happiness really means until they look at something and inside truly light up with butterflies. Through the general term happiness many seek what the value of all of it is and if they are unquestionably delighted . Overall, believing money is happiness is ludicrous in the end it drives one to a point of insanity, money constraints the mind, and no one values life the way it should be.…

“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has, the more one wants,” quoted by Benjamin Franklin. Money can’t buy happiness because materials are short lived, human connection is more important, and wealth undermines people’s ability to savor positive events from the sheer abundance. Money will accumulate, but it is easy to chase more and more until you realize you’re not actually living.…

It all dates back to ten thousand years ago when money became one of the world’s greatest obsessions. From bartering to coinage to paper, the want and need for money has never changed. In author William Hazlitt’s essay, On the Want of Money, he clearly describes how money can effectively make or break one’s life. Money makes the world go around. Living in the new millennium, it is very apparent money is what’s important. Money is the root of all evil, yet the source of happiness. Then again, this statement could only hold water depending on the financial status of the person in question. There may be more than one thing in life that holds importance. Personally, I feel there indeed is more than one thing. Looking at the big picture makes me realize that love is the most important thing in life. This may be in large part that I, the person writing this paper, have not experienced love first hand outside of my family. Look at the people in the world who are at the top of the social ladder, they have money, they have what may appear to be everything that would make a person happy. But, do all of them have love? Most of them are miserable because money cannot buy you everything, this includes love. Looking further into it all, although the person may seem happy on the outside, they may not be on the inside. This may lead back to the fact that they have not found love. In a way everything goes hand in hand with love. Family is centered on love, happiness will lead someone to finding love, which in the end makes you feel whole, which eventually leads to economic success. Love is what makes life interesting. Maybe, by the end of this paper I will discover that love may bring happiness, but may not necessarily be the most important thing in life.…
