Re: Damages to your car.
Please accept my sincere apology for the long deep scratches on the back of your car I caused this morning.
My friends and I were riding our bikes in the street, and I did not pay attention to where I was going. This was when I accidently scratched your car. This was caused by my bicycle’s handlebars, as I was passing by on high speed. I have observed deep scratches on the boot of your car and paint scratched off. Please know I did not do it on purpose. I shall try to be more careful in the future.
I take full responsibility for my actions. I will cover the entire cost of repairs using my own savings. Please send all the bills to me. I understand it is a great inconvenience to you. I am really sorry.

Because motorists dislike sharing the road, bicyclists are harassed by some motorists who get desperate and start yelling, honking, and insulting riders. Some motorists believe that bike riders, when there are no bike lanes, should ride on the sidewalks and that the roads belong to vehicles.
