Cyber Bullying Preventions
Cyber bullying is a serious problem for this generation. With access to technology so easily obtainable someone somewhere is being cyber bullied right now. Many people find it easier to make fun of someone then to just be nice to them and now that you can type up a rude comment while sitting in the comfort of your living room its even easier for a bully to work up the courage to do something they probably wouldn’t in person. Cyber bullying can’t just be ended and won’t just end because mean people won’t change. Cyber bullying can be prevented though. You can prevent cyber bullying directly by not participating in the social media websites that people are so commonly bullied on, so if you are someone that doesn’t want to get bullied simply don’t give the bully the opportunity to do so. Cyber bullying could also be slowed down by having an age restriction on social media websites because more mature people are less likely to bully someone because they don’t care about bringing someone down to pick themselves up. Another way to prevent the onslaught of bullies on social media websites is by having a type of anti-cyber-bully protection system on certain websites. This protection system could automatically read users posts or comments and if it picks up on someone bashing another person they could ban that bully’s account for a certain period of time. I feel this would be affective because it would rid the internet of the bullies which would then allow the people who use social media websites the right way to enjoy using those websites. I could go on and on about ways to prevent cyber bullying but the only way to handle it is for mankind to change for the better and be nice to each other because bullying is a pointless and rude form of fun.

Cyber bullying according to Wikipedia is defined as the use of Information Technology (Computers, cell phones, etc.), to harm or harass other people in a deliberate, repeated, and hostile manner. Cyber bullying has been a very sensitive topic in recent years due to the pain and embarrassment it causes for the individuals on the receiving end. I believe that in order to delete this behavior there has to be accountability to the person(s) doing it, tougher laws for someone who commits this act, and prevention.…

Once the prevention of cyberbullying starts to happen and/or kids that are bullying clearly understand that it is wrong to damage other people, the society would have accomplish an amazing…

is such an easily accessible and large issue that it can and will ruin the next generation. That next generation is our future, then their future, then their children’s future. Actions now, can and will affect events and choices made in the future. The 2013-2014 Student Crime Supplement (National Center for Education and Bureau of Justice Statistics) indicates that 7% of students in grades 6-12 experienced cyberbullying. Also the 2013 Youth Risk Surveillance Survey finds that 15% students in high school were electronically bullied in the past year. These statistics are honestly ridiculous, they should be 0% ideally. Until businesses and schools take cyber bullying as serious as bullying someone in person the issues would not be resolved. Many cyber bullies think that bullying others online is funny. Cyber bullies may not realize the consequences for themselves of cyberbullying. The things teens post online now may reflect badly on them later when they apply for college or a job. Cyber bullying causes different reactions to many different people from depression to legal matters to even suicide. I often think that cyber bullying is worse than physically bullying someone because with cyber bullying nobody know it is happing other than the bully/bullies and one getting bullied but, getting physically bullied someone who could potentially stop it could see it happening. So again if schools and businesses would take all bullying serious that maybe just maybe we would see a decrease in the amount that it…

Cyber bullying is a rapidly growing trend that can be more detrimental than "traditional" forms of bullying in many ways. A key difference between cyber bullying and traditional bullying is the ability to bully without a face-to-face altercation. The bully is also invisible and not knowing who is responsible can add to a victim's insecurity. It is no longer about the one big, mean bully picking on the smaller kid in the schoolyard. Any person with an Internet connection of any kind can bully almost anyone else. Cyber bullying has the same insidious consequences as any kind of bullying, causing isolation and fear in its victims.…

First is beginning an educational campaign with children and teens, and informing others what exactly is cyber bullying and the steps to prevent it from happening to them. Teaching youth how not to unintentionally become part of cyber bullying will help slow down cyber bullies. Children need to be taught that being silent while another is being hurt is not alright, and if they stand up with the victims, cyber bullies can be stopped. Another way is keep personal information private. Children and teens should not share passwords with friends or strangers to keep themselves safe. Sharing this personal information can give cyber bullies the opportunity to hack into personal emails and social sites, and post damaging things online. And once things are posted on the Internet, it may be impossible to delete it permanently. Adolescents should also know that if they are targeted by a cyber bully to not respond and instead block the cyber bully and inform a parent or adult that can help them. Checking to see who they are sending messages and emails to is another way of preventing cyber bullying. Making sure that they are sending it to the right person and place will help stop cyber bullies from receiving private messages. Also, teens should know that it is not alright to forward and send other people’s emails and personal information without their permission. Teenagers also should not send emails or post…

Technology was invented to help and save people, but right now people are using technology in the worst way possible. Cyber bullying is more common on teenagers. Since social media was barely invented in the 2000s cyber bullying mostly happens in the late stages of middle school and early highschool years of our generation. A common way to find out whether or not your children are being bullied is to ask them every day. The children are frightened of becoming a victim of bullying and the consequences that continue. People stay quiet because the bully threatens them to hurt a friend or someone they love and care about. Talking by experience, it’s better to find out early than later. The worst consequence a parent or guardian can face is losing their child’s life. Cyber bullying can take different forms. Sending mean messages or threats, spreading rumors online or through texts, posting hurtful or threatening images, stealing a person’s personal information, and pretending to be someone else online are some examples of cyberbullying. In one case, a girl in Canada named Amanda Todd fell victim to cyberbullying. Amanda used video chat to make new friends, but there was a man who used her and blackmailed her many times, for as much as she could she couldn’t get rid of him, until one sad day she hanged herself in her room. School districts in the United States so far have not seen what a massive problem cyber bullying has come to be. Our nation has suffered a real enormous loss in young children’s and teenagers’ life. Mostly because even though the young children go to their teachers for help they still continue to be bullied and at the end they lose there…
