Description:
Ethics is always happening around our life and everyone must have faced some ethical dilemma in their daily life. I have no exception and I have experiences an event also in my university life.
During my second year studies, I took a course that required us form a group to present on a topic and we have to hand in a report later. We have to form a group and I lucky to become the group leader. So I have divided the presentation in several parts and division of to my group mate. Everything seemed smooth until the morning on the presentation, which I realized that one of my teammate—Peter (To protect his identity, pseudonym is used) did not given me any of his slides. So I take my role as a leader and call Peter but I receive no rely at all. After a several call I finally got a message form Peter –“Sorry I am at work.” I asked if Peter had finished his part, he rely that “Sorry I have lots of work to do, can you help me to finish it?” I was furious of his reaction but when I claim down, I realized that I only have two hours left before the presentation. I still had to combine other’s teammate PowerPoint and finalize all the stuff, and now I have an additional job to help Peter to complete his part. As I did not have sufficient time, after I finished Peter’s part, there was not much time left for me to combine the work. All I could do was quickly mess all the slides together and glance though the PowerPoint.
When the time came to the presentation, we were presenting quiet well and Peter also managed to give a smooth presentation. But the professor comment on that we should be more careful as there are many grammatical errors, which should be avoided by more comprehensive proofreading.
