Crooks and Lennie
They all nice guys, but they were experiencing discrimination by people, what are the reasons? In the novel " of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck, Lennie and Crooks experience discrimination, Lennie experiences discrimination because of foolish, Crook experiences discrimination because he is black; they all have deformity, Lennie is a mentally disabled man and Crooks have rheumatism.
First, Lennie and Crooks experience discrimination because of foolish and racial discrimination. For example, in chapters,George told him lots of time that there should be Lennie hand in, but Lennie still can't remember. so Lennie is foolish and people discrimination him; Crook experiences discrimination because he is black, for example When Lennie went to Crooks's house, Crooks was strange of Lennie came to his house, Lennie also fell strange why does Crooks have this question and Crooks answer" because I'm black", in that time , people have racial discrimination, white people think they are better than black people, so people discrimination at Crooks. It's the reason that why they discriminate by other people, just because Lennie is foolish and Crook is black.
Second, Lennie and Crooks both have deformity, because Lennie is a mentally disabled man and Crooks have rheumatism. For example, in chapter 3, George told slim ,Lennie never have his own idea and he is foolish because when they were child, George ask Lennie jump in cold river in winter because Lennie afraid of George, than Lennie had a big sick, than he become mentally disabled. So Lennie is a mentally disabled man. Crooks have rheumatism. For instance, in Chapter 3,when Lennie went to his house, Crooks told Lennie he has rheumatism, so his job only is taking care of the hours in this form because he can't stand in the wind.
