Cicero once stated that “… The greater the difficulty the grater the glory …” My interpretation of this would be in order to fulfill ones goals or desires you most struggle to get there, the more you struggle the more satisfaction you’ll feel in the end. I agree with this statement because in this world and generation we are living in things don’t come easy. One most work hard for what they want. In order to get from point A to point B you must move towards it or you’ll never reach where you’re trying to get threw out the many challenges. Two stories that emulate this quote would be Sweat by Zara Neale Hurston & The Scarlet Ibis by James Hurst. Both authors uses Characterization and Conflict.
The story Sweat by Zara Neale Hurston relates to the statement because Delia Jones use to be emotionally and physically abused by her husband for 15 years. Sykes beat Delia threw out the years of their marriage, he also cheated on her and disrespected her and let his girl friend in his wife’s house, after year of abuse and struggling to live with a man like Sykes she finally stands up , so when Sykes brings a snake home to kill Delia but failed and ended up killing his self emulate with the quote because Delia could have helped her husband but she stood her ground and over came the misery her husband was putting her threw. Delia was dynamic because she changed during the cores of the story. In the beginning she was weak but it the end she grew strong. For example Delia was washing cloths and Sykes started messing with her and the cloths she was washing Delia got fed up and defended her self told him to stop and she was tried of it .This sorry has conflict because her husband Sykes use to beat her and put drama in her
