Creative Writing: Weathering Heights
The drive from Tuscon was a long and miserable drive. It had just rained the night prior so the air was hot and muggy. The sweat clung on to you like glue, and was impossable to peal off. The only thing holding my sanity together is the book I brought with me, Weathering Heights. Otheirwise I would have jumped out of the car an hour ago. Right now I can imagine my two friends Stefanie and Alex sitting in their bedrooms under the artic blast of their aircondetioner. Oh how I wish I was within the radious of a working ac. The car's ac has not been working for years. Weither the window was down or closed, the humidity will not release it's hold on you. By the time I finished my book, we were already in Sedona. The humidity passed and the air was now the crisp evening of the summer air.
"Isn't it just spectacular, just look at the red rocks, its even better than the pictures." my mother said, breaking the silence that had lasted most of the trip.

"Well their beautiful and you just need to learn to apperciate that, becides where not even going to live here exactly.
"Well then..., where are we going to live" I said, droppin the subject about the rocks.
She thinks about is for a second.
"Where moving to Oak Creek canyon" mom said
"And what's suppose to be exciting about that" I said
"Well... for one you can play in the creek, explore the forest, watch the stars at night" she said trying to get me interested.
"I'm not a little kid anymore, that may have been fun when I was younger but now I'm 16" I said a little more annoyed.
"I know the move is hard on you, but you need to try to see the bright side. You can still call your friends and you can still visit them. It's not goodbye forever. Who knows, you might be able to makes some new friends. Maby even a girlfriend or boyfriend" said

The fields were cleared, and the mules were working hard now to clear the fields for planting. It was almost noon, time to eat. They were tired, and they wanted there nosebags, filled with sweet, crunchy grain and oats. Almost time now. They were at the end of the row, and next to it, the chain tree. The chain tree was welcomed to the mules, as it meant they would get a rest. The sadness that comes with saying goodbye to the friends you have spent your whole life with when moving is never easy. Throughout my education, I have moved schools 3 times and every time it has been a struggle to acclimate socially, mentally and academically. I started at Diegueno Middle School in the middle of the seventh grade. This was now my second school in only the first half of my first year of middle school. Again I had to adapt to new people and a different course load. This school had a much higher standard of academia then my prior school and at first, I struggled. School felt alien to me. Time passed and I made new friends and I got used to the difficulty. I started high school with the same group of friends from middle school…

We finally made it to Hinton, West Virginia, home of Bluestone State Park. It felt weird not being at home, surrounded by my pets, and loud noises throughout the night. We checked in at the office once we arrived to the campgrounds and headed for the cabins. It felt amazing to get out of the area I was used to and spend time with my family, doing something we loved. I was so excited to see the cabin and the deer wondering out in the tall, grassy fields. It was around seven and it was starting to get dark so we decided to grill some hamburgers and hope that no wild animals would come and try to have dinner with us. Before we knew it, bedtime was just around the corner. The next morning at the breakfast table, I suggested going down to the lake and fishing instead of going hiking considering it was nice and warm outside.…
