Barbra, his wife, cried and told him over and over he couldn't go out that it was too dangerous. Thomas didn't listen, he needed to help his daughter. "Barbra, I'm sorry, but I have to go and you know it. We can't leave Sammy like this," Thomas said to his desperate wife. "I-I know, but... take this," she handed him a small pistol, "it isn't much, but it will give you some protection. Please be careful, I love you." Saying his goodbyes, Thomas turned to the curtain drawn tight over the window. June 15, people call it Broken Moon Day. How creative. June 15th of every …show more content…
When he was safely in the truck, he quietly drove to the hospital. Everything was going smoothly, until he saw one. A bear was walking across the street. Thomas turned off his headlights, hoping it didn't see him. He drove slowly past the grizzly. The bear didn't seem to notice the black car inching its way across the empty streets. When Thomas was fully past the bear, the engine backfired, Thomas swore and put his foot down harder against the pedal and flew as far away from the large bear as he could. He sped along to the road and to his destination, the …show more content…

He motioned for Thomas to come in quickly. "What do you need," the doctor asked. "My daughter Sammy is very ill and I don't think she can hold on much longer." The doctor pondered on it for a second and told him to explain the symptoms of the young girl. They walked as Thomas explained her symptoms. "I might have just the thing to hold her over till' morning." The doctor handed Thomas a green bottle that had some pink liquid inside. Thomas thanked the doctor for his service and told him that he would be back in the morning for a full check-up. Thomas looked through the doors, it seemed clear. Thomas knew with everything in him that since he ride here was easier than most, the ride back would be a

Willams appeared to hand something over. As this event unfolded, the conversation appeared to be becoming increasingly stressed. She almost ran back to find out what the group was saying but her ever oblivious husband finally noticed her lack of presence beside him and beckoned towards her. “Why’d you stop?Hurry up!” he called back to her. I guess it wasn’t any of my business anyways, she thought with resignation as she obliged. Catching up to him, she commented on the peculiar scene she witnessed. “I’m sure it was nothing of any concern to us,” he quickly retorted, speeding up his pace towards their front door. Jamey couldn’t resist spying on the scene from the kitchen window once Braden had retreated to their shared bedroom. When she looked though, Detective Willams had disappeared along with almost the entire police force. This discovery only increased her curiosity. She decided to use his obliviousness to her advantage and wait until he went to sleep to sneak back over to the…

Little Mike is only five years old. Clenching onto his mother’s fingers, he stands intimidated in front of a confronting building, which is seemingly to be called his School for the next thirteen daunting years of his life. Not wanting to leave his mum, his sharp screech breaks through the usual drone of the passing crowd, accompanied by the crocodile tears trickling down his blushed cheeks. It is rather his fear of being separated from his parents which troubles him more than making new friends outside of his niche. “I can’t do it mom!” Mike roars, “I don’t want to go!” Unfortunately, his beg for mercy is unheard, or rather disregarded under his father’s order. “Mike! Get over it, you have to go now; we are freaking late for work!” Although it is expected by Mike to do what his father demands, it is his mum who unwillingly pushes him towards the School. “You’ll be fine love,” she assures Mike, “trust me.” The two words, “trust me,” strike Mike like nothing else present around him; not the School bell, not even his father’s uninterrupted rumble, yet only the two words.…
