Creative Writing: Alex's Cabin
Alex's POV

I wake up feeling different. I don't know what's going on but I fell like someone else. I look over and see Tobin is still asleep. I stretch in bed and get ready to go to breakfast. I start making my way to the bathroom when I notice it.

"Ahhhhhhh," I scream so loud I swear the mirror just moved. "How does this- What is going -Why am I Tobin?" I walk out of the bathroom and see Tobin looking at me.

"I'm you," Tobin said.

"And I'm you," I shake my head thinking this is a dream. "Pinch ne," I say as I stick my hand out, "I need to know if this is a dream or not." Tobin pinches me and I close my eyes. I open them up and see Tobin or should I say me, standing there.

"So I'm guessing this isn't a dream," She looks down at the floor and then back at me. "This is going to be awkward. Do you even know how this happened? Because if you do please let me know."

So what do we do Tobs?"

"Well I for one say that we go down to breakfast before our teammates start questioning us."

We head out and start walking towards the elevator. It was really awkward which is weird because Tobin is my best friend. We do everything together.

"So we have to talk about this before it crazie," I say looking at her.

"Totally agree Lex. As much as I love you being in your body is weird. I mean don't take get me wrong or anything but, i would love my body back," Tobin says with a chuckle.

We hear the elevator ring letting us know that we're in the lobby. We make our way into the conference room and once we walk in, all eyes are on

I rose from sleep and went searching for anyone to spend time with, but they all seemed to be frozen, like statues in a museum. I tapped on the shoulder of Jake, but he didn't move or even blink, and I screamed in terror and tasted metallic blood on my tongue. What is happening? I thought to myself as I sprinted to my room and tried, unsuccessfully, to fall back asleep. Eventually, I could, and when I woke up, the world seemed like it was back to normal, with the sound of people's laughter and conversations filling the once empty space.…

Human beings are naturally curious. We are always in search of better ideas, and new solutions to problems. One of a basic idea of Indonesia has been freedom of thinking and a free flow of ideas. But in some societies, governments try to keep their people ignorant. Usually, this is so governments can keep people under control and hold on to their power. In trying to keep people from the realities of the world, these oppressive governments can end up damaging or even destroying their society.…

My eyes snap open and the image of a room slowly focuses into my vision. I look around wondering where I am and become aware of a loud shrill noise. Then I remember, this is my place now, this is where I live and that clock needs to stop beeping. Slowly I get out of bed and look into the mirror asking myself the same question as I always do, "Why am I getting up, its not like there is anything for me to do." My room is nothing like I remember it from last night. Last night I had strewn the clothes I was wearing all about the room and sequentially thrashed it by everywhere looking form my pajamas that I somehow never seem to find. Now, my room is all clean. At least the clothes had provided some color to…

I am awake. I have no idea what time it is, but it’s light outside. I sit up in bed, I try to move my arms but I can’t, what’s going on? I try to move my legs but I can only move them so far. I look down and I see I have a tight blue cloth suit on that restricts my movement severely and that my legs are chained to the bed posts. I try to see what I look around the dark and dingy room, hardly a room in fact, more like a box with a bed and me.…

A sudden tapping of high heeled shoes from the corridor awakens me from my day dreaming. I look up. My pulse quickens, and my hands sweat. Ben took in a deep breath. His dream... It was not unlike the one he'd had earlier. Rather, it was the same one! Only, it was greater, and felt, closer. He shook his head and went to the bathroom to wash his hands and face. He flicked on the light and walked over to the sink. The light flickered on as he turned the handle and waited for the warm water to kick-in. He waited, but sadly the warmth did not…
