How can you use the tools and assessments in this course to help you in your future courses and your career plans? Using the tools and assessments in the course would help me in my future courses by preparing me for all upcoming midterms and problems that may arise. <I’ve learned so much during this course and have truly grown as a person. I have never really been too open minded. I kind of stick to what I believe and no one can tell me otherwise. My grandma is really the only other person I really believe could tell me something and I would consider what she was saying as being correct. She influenced so much in my life. A lot of my decisions and choices I thought of her first or I would call and ask for her input. Without any extra questions or searching for other possible answers I would believe her almost instantly and go with what she said. During these few weeks I have learned to investigate all possibilities before making a decision so I can make the best one. My pride and my stubbornness also kept me from using critical thinking. Instead of taking the time to really analyze a problem and pick the best way to fix it I just did what I felt was the thing to do. During my time in this course I was taught the necessary steps to take in order to properly solve issues. I plan on utilizing everything I have learned for not only the rest of my academic time with the university of Phoenix , but for the rest of my life in and out of school or work.…

One thing in this article, I think especially useful is the examination skills. Professor Leamnson said that “the absolute worst thing you can do is to fall for the crazy notion that the way to prepare for an exam is to compress it all in the last 12 to 18 hours before the test, and keep it up right to the very last minute (Leamnson 11).” It is exactly what most of the college students acting in school. No matter the student is a score oriented or desired to learn knowledge, exam is still a very important session in college. It determines your ability, level of understanding about the material, and also the academic result. I used to not study good enough after class, and study extremely…

For most, higher education is the key to social mobility, financial stability, and self-actualization. Living-wage jobs are difficult to find, especially without an education past high school. It is very important to attend college as it provides many advantages and opportunities. For some, continuing education past high school is a scary thought. More course work, adjusting and fitting into a new environment and finding out how to take care of the forever rising cost of tuition expenses can be very intimidating and stressful for young adolescents. Students may begin to ask themselves what’s the importance of a college education. However, in todays economy the importance of a college education cannot be measured. The benefits of college far outweigh the stress. By going to college one could achieve a higher education, better employment opportunities, increased wages, better health, personal growth and help diversify one’s way of…

Lastly, another purpose of higher education is simply just to learn. Even if you don’t have a plan or a particular job that you want to pursue higher education is always there to take advantage of and learn something you haven’t before. You don’t have to be a certain age, race, or religion. College is like one big community, we are all here for different reasons but one purpose and that is to learn. No one knows everything and there is always something new to gain knowledge about. That to me is the most beautiful thing about higher…
