Corporate Culture & Ethics
Loblaw Companies Limited and its subsidiaries and divisions are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and good corporate citizenship. All Loblaw employees, officers and directors are expected to conduct themselves ethically, lawfully and professionally and in compliance with the letter and spirit of the Loblaw Code of Business Conduct (Corporate Policy, 2011).
Employees are expected to act in Loblaw’s best interests on its missions and values, behave prudently in their use of Loblaw’s property and other resources, and attempt in every way to preserve Loblaw’s reputation.

The organization focuses on following ethical behaviors from its employees: * No Violence, Discrimination or Harassment: Company lays importance stress on a violence, discrimination and harassment free work environment, be it in respect to other employees, customers or suppliers. All the employees must comply with Loblaw’s Code of Conduct (LCBC, 2011). * Use of Company Property: Employees are not expected to borrow or use company property, funds, assets, names, goodwill, confidential or proprietary information or trade secrets for personal advantage. A high standard of employment duties is expected from them. * Conflicts of Interest: Employees must avoid conflicts of interest situations where their personal interest interferes with their duties and responsibilities to Loblaw. Company has underlined following acts to be opposing this obligation of employees: * Accepting gifts from suppliers. * Engaging in outside business activities that interferes with interests of Loblaw * Performing services with competitors * Conducting business with relative or friend who is employed by a competitor or a supplier
Employees are directed to address any such conflict to manager or HR representatives (LCBC, 2011). * Protecting information: Employees are expected to protect all confidential and proprietary
