Comparing Duane Hanson's Life And Work
Duane Hanson he was born in 1925 at Alexandria, Minnesota and started being a realist in his early teens. He entered Luther collage in Decorah, IA. Known for his ultra-realistic sculpture depicting ordinary people going about their daily-life activities such as mowing lawns, sitting at tables, playing games and other normal stuff we do every day. After attendance at Luther College and the University of Washington, he graduated from Macalaster College in 1946. 1953 to 1960, Hanson lived in Munich and Bremerhaven, Germany, working as an art teacher for the US. army dependent school system. Next he received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Cranbrook Academy in 1951. He had moved back to America in 1960. 1962 - 1965 Hanson was an art
