Compare And Contrast Winter And Summer Driving
Driving in the winter and summer is extremely thrilling to me. Living in Minnesota you get the luxury of experiencing both of these seasons. Now driving in these seasons is very different. You have to conform to your environment, which entails changing your driving style in order to be safe.

Minnesota winters can be pretty harsh and dangerous. Once the snow starts to pile up, you have to be very careful of not slipping off the road. Slowing down five, even ten miles per hour, under the speed limit is safest. This allows your car to have better traction on the road. Also signaling sooner then you would in the summer is a plus. This allows the car behind more time to lower their speed as well. Not only is the road more difficult for maneuvering

Summer is warmer than winter in Ohio for a few reasons. Summer is warmer than winter in Ohio because the Sun's rays hit the Earth at a more direct angle during summer than during winter as the northern hemisphere is tilted in such a manner that this happens. Earth's axis shifts throughout the year and whichever hemisphere is tilted more in the direct angle of the sun experiences summer while the other hemisphere experiences winter. Another reason is that because the days are much longer than the nights during the summer. This helps with the average temperature being higher in the summer than it is in the winter. These are the main two reasons that the average temperature in summer is much warmer than the temperature is in winter in Ohio.…

Over the brief time I’ve been driving, I found there to be a drastic difference in driving in the winter and driving in the summer. The winter weather brings many dangerous conditions to contend with on the road that the summer does not. Cold, wet, freezing winters are much harder to drive in than the dryer summer months.…

Speeding was a factor in 53 percent of fatal crashes that occurred when there was snow or slush on the road and in 60 percent of those that happened in icy roads. Even rain can be dangerous. Going down the interstate at 80 mph while it's pouring down rain so hard you can barely see in front of you is definitely not a good idea. Speed reduces the amount of available time needed to avoid a crash, increases the likelihood of crashing and increases the severity of a crash once it occurs. The public needs to be made more aware of the dangers of speeding. If we are to combat this dangerous, life-threatening behavior, we must devote increased resources to better enforcement, including more law enforcement officers to patrol the highways, and we must support technological advances, such as video cameras (also known as "photo radar"), to target aggressive, speeding…

The first paragraph of any essay is the introduction of that essay. Refer to the chapter in your textbook about what belongs or does not belong inside an introduction. This chapter has been assigned or will be assigned soon. I recommend not writing an introduction until you have a thesis and all of your body paragraphs finalized. After a clear main idea and support for that main idea are established, you can decide how you’d like to introduce it. Beginning an essay about torture with a joke may not be wise, but until you have your essay written, there is no way of knowing whether a joke is appropriate. The final one or two (please spell all numbers under 100) sentences of the introduction is/are the thesis, and it must be followed immediately by paragraphs of support.…

As a new season approaches we all get excited and ready for a new change. Winter and summer are two very different seasons but also have similar characteristics. When winter comes around, everyone gets out their scarfs, boots, and warm clothes to get ready for the cold. In the winter, we get excited for snow and of course Christmas. Everyone enjoys Christmas and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. It’s almost like everyone hibernates in their homes because no one wants to go out in the cold or drive anywhere. It also gets dark very early so there’s not much time to be outside. Instead we might sit inside, cuddled up in a blanket, trying to get warm and watch a movie. I find myself not going out as much in the winter time and I can get very bored sitting in my house all night. If we get snow, it’s always fun to play outside in the snow or go snowmobiling. That’s if you don’t mind freezing and most likely going inside after an hour because you’re so cold. When I think of winter, I think of that feeling where you are so cold that you can barely feel your hands and your ears feel like they’re going to fall off. I think of hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. The worst part about winter would be shoveling the snow that builds up in your driveway and being cold. The best part is the holiday spirit that takes place for Christmas and New Year’s.…

There are many uncontrollable conditions in the weather such as rain, snow, sun, fog and sometimes even the wind can be a factor to hazardous driving . When its raining, the car may hydroplane, and the driver may lose control of the car which could cause an accident. Rain can also make it hard to see through your windshield. This hazard may be solved by simply not driving in these weather conditions, which is the safest. However, if you really have somewhere to go, the only answer is to slow down to a speed…
