The big tree grew different crops than it did in the other story. The grandma also fell through the world, but a different kind of bird broke her fall as well. She made an island on the turtle’s back as well, but there was a different animal which risked its life to bring dirt from the bottom of the ocean to the top. The grandma had a daughter who wasn’t supposed to look to the east or she would become pregnant. But she did, she also had twins, but they were girls, one good and the other bad.
The stories are similar with a male and female who lived in a sky world. On this sky world, there were both big trees which produced food for the male and female to eat. The Grandma on both stories fell through the sky world into a big ocean. A type of bird broke the Grandma’s fall and set her on a turtle’s back. Both stories had Grandma’s, who had twins, and in both stories one was good and the other was bad. “The World on the Turtle’s back” and “Two Brothers and the Grandma’s” were different because one sky world was dark and the other was light. The trees in both stories produced different foods. There were also different animals which helped the grandmas break their fall from the sky
