Compare And Contrast Romeo And Juliet Suicide Essay

Suicide is a very serious matter that has affected people of all backgrounds for a long period of time. In Webster's dictionary, the proper definition of suicide is: “The act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally especially by a person of years of discretion and of sound mind.” When victims reaches a breaking point in their lives, they believe that there is no other option, that this difficult period in their lives isn’t going to end. So they tend to choose a very permanent solution that they believe will help solve the problem. That solution is suicide. In Romeo and Juliet, the couple had both reached that point. After Romeo had heard the news that his true love was dead he rushed out to be with her and died in her arms. Juliet then wakes up to see that her one and only was dead. She then proceeds to take her husband’s dagger and kills herself. They had felt that death was the only option they had left. However, they approached the situation in a very wrong way.
