Most of the money just goes to the school. Why wouldn’t they pay the players who are bringing all the money in? In almost all sports such as basketball and football there is so many fans. It is almost like going to a professional game. Football games bring 121 million dollars a year. That includes sponsors and all the fans paying for games. March madness was a huge college basketball event and it brought in over 900 million dollars. That is insane to me and for the players bringing in all that money you can’t even pay them a dime. The players are almost being used. If they are bringing that much money in and entertainment they should be getting paid. The NCAA is taking advantage over the college kids. They are treated horribly by the NCAA. College sports wouldn’t exist without these athletes. College athletes still have almost the same amount of fan base as the professional sports. It is unfair how the players don’t get a bit of revenue after all their hard work and sales they bring. Basketball is one of the leading revenue for the NCAA. The NCAA and other organizations will even put a college player’s name on a jersey, hat or other sportswear and never send a penny to the player.
