In the sports article, “Colin Kaepernick protest has 49er’s fans burning their jerseys,” Cindy Boren covers why Kaepernick is kneeling during the National Anthem. She explains that he isn’t breaking any team or league rules, as long as he does not interfere with his teammates choices. Secondly, Boren shows he is well aware there will be repercussions and he well emphasized he isn’t looking for approval. Moreover, Kaepernick explains they can take away everything that he has been given, it still won’t change his mind. The author concludes that Kaepernick is well aware of the new founded hatred towards his protest, but he feels he is doing a good for the people who can’t take a stand.
