Executive Summary

Our coffee shop is determined to become a necessity in our prospective customer’s daily life. It will be a place where the public can meet with friends, read a book, or even gain internet access to work away from the office. With the high demand for coffee, our company plans to use advertising and free samples to generate a loyal customer base. The coffee shop will have a comfortable dining area that will allow our customers to relax and use our complimentary Wi-Fi to gain internet access on their laptops, smart phones, and other internet ready devices. We will provide exceptional customer service to ensure that we can maintain the customer base while still generating a healthy profit. This proposal presents an outline of the construction of the coffee shop, the selection of employees, and the overall management of the company.

Scope Statement

Goal Definition

This project was created as a layout for the construction and management of a coffee shop, while staying within a specified budget of no more than $200,000.00. The building will be 800 square feet with a limited kitchen and a dining area for the customers. The coffee shop will be furnished with the proper equipment, such as a latte machine, coffee makers, and cash registers. The coffee shop design will allow the company to provide a relaxed atmosphere where customers can meet and enjoy coffee related products.

Goals Addressing Mission

* The major purpose of this project is to construct a coffee shop that will offer customers coffee related products. * Provide a relaxing atmosphere to read, work, or meet with friends and family. * Create several jobs for the area including cashiers, baristas, management, and janitorial jobs.

Goals Addressing Self-Sustainment

* Closely monitoring of the accounting aspect of the company making sure that money is spent well. * Hiring only the best individuals fit for the job to make sure that productivity and efficiency are at their highest.

Cost

Based on our report, the cost of the project is still within the budget that we proposed within our scope statement. We have a budget of $200,000 and we are at a little over $10,000.
