The textbook Psychology Applied to Work describes this concept as positive psychology, "The aim of positive psychology is to shift the emphasis away from what is wrong with people to what is right with people" (Muchinsky & Culberson, pg. 384, 2016). With that premise on its head, Strengths Finder 2.0 looks to first identify the strengths of others and directs them to improve on what they already do so well. By doing this self-assessment I learned about my strengths. I was aware that I accept full responsibility for my actions and results of my life. Since I was a little girl, my mother bestowed in me that, “Life is nothing but the result of the choices you make.” I know that my destiny is counting on me. I know what motivates me and what choices hinder my success. Choosing between the two is the challenge; I call that self-warfare.
