People always say that they will never do anything they don't feel comfortable doing when it comes to survival. Humans are not like lions with big teeth where they just kill any living thing that has meat; they do it for survival. Humans are capable to do the unexpected when it comes to survival. In the Civil War, there was a battle on a small island where soldiers were being starved to death. Rather than just waiting to die, the soldiers are the horses, pets, and even rats. They didn't have the tools to make a fire, so they had to eat them raw. Those soldiers went to a point to eat anything that had meat, for they just wanted to survive.
