Christopher Columbus's Racial Discrimination
“Christopher Columbus’s racial discrimination and false achievements have cause the illness and death of many people.

Christopher Columbus (1451 - 1506) is claimed to be discoverer of America in 1492. Many people in today’s society believe this lie, for in fact Columbus did not discover America. Columbus has been classified a villain for various reasons, one of those reasons being that he is receiving all the credit for something that he did not do. The only thing that Columbus did was open up the passageway to America for the Europeans, who really discovered America.

It took three different voyages for Columbus to even reach mainland. During his first voyage he only made it to the Atlantic Ocean and he reached what is known as today as

    Christopher Columbus is not a hero. Columbus was the credited for the discovery of the Americas, but he can also be credited for the enslaving the natives and almost causing the genocide of the Indians. When Columbus found the Americas he was convinced that it was Asia so he called the natives there “Indians”. He gave the native children there quotas to find gold, and if they had not, their hand would have been cut off. During that trip, rape was common as the Spanish had not brought along women with them. Along with the ships and men, Columbus also brought along diseases, like smallpox, that crippled the Taino tribe population.
