My grandmother didn’t believe in wasting money on toys, she believed in all the entertainment a book had to offer. So she brought me to a book store that was especially for children and told me to pick any book that I wanted. Oh My God was it the hardest thing in the world when there were thousands and thousands of books. Walking through several books this red book, with a yellow title and a bear with green overalls missing a button caught my attention. I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover but something just drew my young mind to this book. I love reading because for a while, I live in a different body, in a different place, with different people. Now I know that sounds crazy but how cool is it to escape from the world, Into a story that is more interesting than your life will ever be. This one book The Prada Plan was about a girl who was abandoned by her parents at a young age at had to become an adult at a young age. In her story she goes through a lot emotionally, at some points I find myself crying with her, feeling her pain.
