Chicago Airport Narrative
Lets just say, never go to chicago airport, NEVER. I woke up to 4 alarms going off. My Alarm, my sister’s Alarm, My Mom’s Alarm and the front desks wake up call.. It was 4:00 am and my ears felt like they were going to fall off. Ok just imagine you’re in a tornado, hurricane, and an explosion. Just imagine the sound, that's what my hotel room sounded like. Once My family and I finally got all the alarms off we started packing. We were at a Cancun Mexico, at our hotel Royal Solaris. This was our last day, we were heading to the airport to fly to chicago. We got our stuff packed and stood outside waiting for a cab. We finally reached the airport and got out. We went through security and got our flight tickets. Then we had a hour to do nothing …show more content…
(where our flight would be taking off) Once our flight was where they started called sections. Section one! Section two! Section 3! Section 4! That was our flight!!! We got on the plane and all 3 of us sat next to each other. There was one bad part, my favorite part of riding in a plane was the window. Guess what our seat didn’t have?!?!?! A Window!! The plane ride was so long, it was a total of 6 hours!! They had built in tvs on the plane, we watched a movie called Judge, it lasted over half the flight. For the rest of the flight I played on my iPod and looked out the… Oh, wait i didn’t have a window!! Anyway once we landed at Chicago O’hare Airport we went through security again, checked in with our passports. When we waiting to get our bags something bad happened. My mom overheard someone saying their flight was cancelled, so my mom checked on her phone to see if our flight was cancelled. My mom didn't want to tell us because we were all in very good moods. I said, “Man, I'm tired I can't wait till i get home and lay in my bed and fall asleep”. That was when my mom said. “Well we're not getting home when we're supposed to, our flight was cancelled”. Once we got our bags we went to the “Your flight was cancelled …show more content…
There was one bad part though Manhattan was in Kansas, two hours away from where we lived, we found out what would happened. Tony (my mom’s boyfriend) was at the house when we were buying the tickets. Once we flew into Manhattan then tony would be there to pick us up, and take us home. Then we had to worry about dinner, since we were hopefully going to get home by midnight then we didn't eat much of dinner, we just got Auntie Anns (a pretzel place.) I just got a regular pretzel. We waited until about 7:00, we were all super bored. Once it was 8:00 we went to our flight gate, which was K7. (or something like

It was our last day and we were headed to the airport. I was very disappointed that I didn’t have my phone for the plane ride home. It was a long drive there and it felt like forever. For some reason my dad pulled off the interstate and pulled into a Verizon Wireless parking lot. My dad went inside and was in there for half an hour. I asked my mom “What are we doing here?”…

I forgot to mention that when we left for our flight to California that was going to be my first time ever flying on an airplane. It was very exciting to fly, especially since it was going to be a long three hour flight. I felt like a little kid again when the flight attendant gave me my wings for flying for my first time. Not all people in the world get to experience flying, so I thought I was pretty lucky to get to enjoy this experience.…

“Alright but I think I can try to figure it out” I replied. The rest of the flight was long and monotonous, and I could not fall asleep because I was too excited. We arrived in Milan after a six hour flight and right from that flight we had to board another smaller plane to go to the airport near my Grandparents home town. This flight only took two hours but it was still terrible. We arrived at the second airport and we had my uncle waiting for us with his tiny car. We stuffed all of our luggage into the car and we made our way to Acri. While we were in the car he was speaking to my mom and grandparents and I could not understand anything he said, it was like trying to put a puzzle together without any of the pieces. We had made it, I was ready to start my vacation but I was hungry and jet lagged. So we went out for some pizza and gelato and we went back and…

I opened the door to enter the Orlando International Airport and my mouth dropped. It was 8 am and the airport was packed with people moving in every direction. There was nowhere to sit or rest. I could hear people yelling, cars honking, soft music playing, etc. (Sensory details) I was surprised that it was this packed, and a little irritated since the only reason I picked such an early flight back to Illinois was to avoid long lines at the airport. I could feel my palms sweat as I looked at the airport’s map to figure out where to go first. I looked at Sasha, my friend who was making sure I knew what I was doing, and waited for her to say something. As she looked around, I began to panic. I felt my heart tightened and I had to take a few deep breaths so I did not freak out. I was very nervous to navigate around this huge airport; especially since I have the worst sense of direction, and I always get lost whenever I have to go somewhere alone. After I calmed down, I knew what I had to do first. (Hyperbole)…

The two hour drive seemed like five like five minutes because I was reliving all the excitingly amazing and wonderful adventures that I had with my friends. When my uncle announced that we had arrived I looked out the window and saw a plane taking off, it seemed to be like a thousand feet long. As we arrived to the airport I thought of going back to my safe house. However, once I stepped inside the airport the thought of going back changed. Although, I was excited about going to a new country and making new friends, part of me did not want to leave my childhood memories behind.…

We departed from my hometown (Montecristi) to Santo Domingo on April 12, 1993 at 7:00 a.m. I went by and got there four hours later. In the airport, we went to the American Airlines counter and checked in for my daughter and me. We went through security. It was really empty because it was very early. After that we went to our gate. We walked around the airport and took a seat to wait for a while. I took my daughter to a cafeteria to eat some food and a soda. We were very early so we had time to walk. Two hours later, we went back to the gate to board the plane. I am sure that my daughter had no idea what was going on, and luckily she was a very quiet child, so I was not nervous.…

That morning, I had to wake up at 4:45 AM because our flight was a seven in Ft. Lauderdale. At the airport, I saw a bunch of my friends, and we were jeering at me because I was really hyper. When we got on the plane, all of our jaws dropped in shock. The plane was HUGE! When we got on, I thought it was going to be mediocre, and boring, but boy I was I wrong. In fact, that was the only worry that I had, so when I got on, my friends were tantalizing me because I was so worried. While I was on the plane, I noticed one of my friends sitting next to me was trying to be unflinching, and trying to be strong because she hates planes. I tried to explain to her that traveling by air abridge the time need to get to far-distant places. After awhile I became a little irate, but I told her to be intrepid because planes are the safest form of transpiration there is. I was surprised that they didn't adjourn her from the plane!…

    One Scary Flight

It was a cold windy January night and I was flying back to Tirana from my winter holidays in Paris. The rain was about to start and the wind was very strong which made it not the perfect timing for a flight. Back then I was around 11 years old and I was not quite familiar with flights at that time. I remember climbing the stairs of this very small propeller airplane which could take around 80 people on the board. The seats were very small and tight and as I took a seat next to my mom I kept holding her hand cause that way I could feel less afraid.…
