Characters 'Disciple In The Book The Forgotten Door'

Fictional books have characters that can teach us how to be better disciples in the world. With so many choices that we have to make in life, that we don’t always make the right choices. Books have a grounding for telling what some of the right decisions are in the world. The Forgotten Door can be labeled as one of those books. In the book, The Forgotten door, there are characters that can teach us how to be better disciples in our actions and behavior. In chapter 2 of the The Forgotten Door, little Jon gains a home when he is found on the side of the road and is taken in by the Bean family, which is made up of Sally, Brooks, Thomas, and Mary (Key 14). This is the lead in to the bigger and deeper meaning in the book, and it is only the beginning of the story. The Beans give him everything, a place to stay, clothes, safety, and even more. We can infer that this is when little Jons is starting to open up.
In chapter 12, little Jon states, “I- I’m trying to tell you that you’d like it there and that I want you to come with me” (Key 136). From this sentence, we know that little jon cares about the Beam family enought to say that he wants them to come with him back home. He is worried about the trouble that he would of have caused them when he left just because they were very generous to him. He cares very deeply for them and he does not want to cause him trouble. Little jon could of have just left the beans to worry about themselves, but instead he stayed and helped them escape with him. This action means that he cares about them and not only
