Chapter 7 of Whole New Mind
1. Uploading is such an important flattener because if you upload what information you have, other countries would benefit just like you did. If a Country has a new recipe for gold, and they share it, that would benefit everyone.

2. The difference between intellectual commons and community and the free software community is that the free software community makes something for the whole community to download and use. The intellectual commons can add and use the source code from the program that the free software community made, but the intellectual commons has to give credit to the free software community.

3. Apache was created by people from the community just throwing code together and making a web server. It is very competitive with commercial web servers because it is growing very quickly. The guidelines are to not use copyright material during the writing of the code.

4. The GPL is a license that lets you use public software for free. It keeps open source software free because it still gives copyright rights to the owner.

5. They offered a giant amount of money to anyone who could find gold in their mine.

6. It was important because India was always the one that bought the items after they have already been used.

7. They benefitted because when people were sharing through their websites, they also received information as well.

8. Offshoring is when a company sells a product in one country but their factory is in a different country. Apple’s factories are in China but they are advertised in America.

9. China is such an important player with regards to offshoring because most of the items that we use every day is made in China. China is cheap and fast when it comes to products.
