FACTUAL REVIEW QUESTIONS
1. Define the term partnering
Partnering or strategic alliance means working together for mutual benefit.
2. What are the benefits of partnering?
Continual improvements in such key areas as processes and products.
Relationships between customers and suppliers.
Customer satisfaction.
Internal partnering can improve relationships among employees and among departments within an organization.

3. Describe each step in the partnering model
Develop a partnering briefing: make sure everyone involved understands partnering as a concept.
Identify potential partners: choose partners in an order determined by the value that would bring that partnership.
Identify key decisions makers: key people whose support is needed to make an initiative involving their organization work.
Conduct a partnering briefing: call a meeting of the key decision makers of both organizations and present a briefing explaining the partnering concept.
Determine the level of commitment: see if they are willing to commit to the partnership for long term and of they are willing to make the changes necessary in order to make possible that partnership.
Decide whether there is sufficient commitment: if key decision makers show noticeable relictance the better option is to break off further involvement bit if the level of commitment is sufficient proceed to the next step in the process.
Identify key operational personnel: the people who will be needed to put into action the commitment made by executive-level decision makers.
Form the partnership team: key people necessary to putting the partnership into operation.
Develop a mission statement: the partnership team needs a clear and concise mission statement so that everyone involved understands what the team is supposed to do.
Develop objectives: objectives should be developed by the partners and ratified by the executive-level decision makers of both partnership organizations.
Prioritize objectives and begin: objectives
