A large part of a great graduation party is creating the right ambiance and serving the right food. Choose one of the great ideas below for your graduation cake table decorations.

Chalkboard Easels

At the cake table, you can set up a chalkboard easel. You can purchase mini chalkboard easels at your local craft store.

In order to make the chalkboard easels more festive, you can attach a mini diploma to each easel. All you need to do is purchase a roll of parchment paper. Take the parchment paper and roll it up. Tie the parchment paper with a ribbon in the school colors of your graduate, and tie it onto the easel. You can write "Happy Graduation," "Congrats" or "Class Of 2015" on the easel.

If you want, you can use this same decorating on the rest of your party tables as well. To

I know I’m very excited about it. As I’m getting my cap ready, decorating it and making plans with my friends; I’m reminded by my grandfather who, the day after his graduation, went to Vietnam, that not everyone gets this celebration. He didn’t get a graduation party; he didn’t get a bonfire with his friends. He walked off his graduation stage onto a plane headed for war. And how lucky are we that he did. That he and 2.5 million others did. These people didn’t get parties. They instead got flying bullets and little support from home. So please, in this time of joy for those of you graduating or celebrating a family member or friend’s graduation, do not forget of the Americans who, instead of celebrating, died on the battlefield. And instead of celebrating today as a day to barbeque and drink, remember that today, is a day of…

The diploma also displays what year I will graduate in. This shows what class I have been a part of through my entire life. I have been a part of this class since Kindergarten. This group is like my second family. We grew up together playing sports, fishing, swimming, and even vacationing together. I remember being a young child in school and the thought of being one of the “big kids” was so scary. My friends and I never looked forward to middle school; high school had not even crossed our young minds yet. As we grew together, mentally and physically, high school could not come faster. We anxiously awaited our turn as the “top dogs” in middle school just to become the immature and annoying freshman in high school. After years upon years of waiting to become the scary seniors we were finally just that. The senior class has grown together and now we all anxiously await graduation together. We are a family and as a family we will all graduate together. The diploma symbolizes our senior class taking the first step towards our future. The senior class began as a group of small children that grew into a group of educated, young…

I want my Celebration of Life memorial service to be held at my sister’s house because she now owns the house I grew up in. This part of the service will have a mixture of traditional Korean and American food. I will have both types of food because I consider myself both Korean and American. For the Korean dishes, I will have Korean short ribs, Korean clear noodles, Kimchi, Korean pork, and white sticky rice. The American dishes will consist of tri-tip, mac and cheese (for my grandchildren), and garlic bread. I will have these choices because they are my favorite Korean and American dishes. I will also have sweet rice cake and ice cream for desert. My sister has a backyard large enough to accommodate one hundred people. The tables, chairs, and canopies will be placed there. The tables will be covered in teal and pink table cloths. Framed pictures of me, with my family and friends, will sit on every table. My favorite music will play in the background. There will be a slide show with pictures of me with my family, pets, and friends. Everyone will tell amusing and memorable stories of the times we spent together. There will be no tears, only laughter for my final goodbye. The package for the canopies, tables, chairs, linens, china, and glassware will cost about $1,410.00. The catering for the Korean food for fifty people will cost about $500.00, and the American food for…

May 19th, 2013 I had dreamt of that day for almost four years. I know I can’t be the only person who feel this way. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. So many different emotions going through my mind all at once. Happiness, Sadness, I felt relieved because it was almost over but at the same time I felt anxious and overly excited to just leave and go far away. 389 seniors were going to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. Now consider the food. Depending on how much you plan on spending on food, you can have a caterer, have a picnic, or make it a potluck. Not everybody has the same taste so make sure that there is a wide selection of food for everyone to choose from. Think of the most trouble-free foods, nothing too extravagant, maybe wings, pizza, hot dogs, and burgers, and a little something for everyone to enjoy. If you do not offer a variety for the relatives to choose from, there will be some disappointed family members, especially the parents with picky eaters, and surely we don’t wish for…
