Chain Of Command
The chain of command is important step in creating trust and respect with your immediate supervisor. Ultimately, they are responsible for making sure you are productive and happy at work. While there are situations in the form of harassment or ethical breaches that it is advised to ignore the chain of command, it most situations, your immediate supervisor should be kept in the loop of concerns or issues you have in your job.Respecting the chain of command doesn’t just mean showing respect for your superiors but also for those working under you. Showing disrespect for the proper channels will only encourage your employees to do the same.
Without the chain of command there would be no real order in how we as a whole work. The purpose of the chain of command is to tell people what they can and cannot do. So why we as a grown adults follow the chain of command, it is simple we choose to because of the fact that we raised are right hand and said yes I will. No matter how much we disagree with someone or something we should do it and then ask questions later that is the purpose of the chain without it what would we be. Consequences for disobeying the chain of command inside of the US Army are endless from as small as corrective training, verbal counseling, to being negatively counseled or given an Article 15. No matter what the circumstance's may be you should not go to someone outside of your chain of command first. Even if they are trying to help you, its still not following your chain of command. The people that should find out first about any problem is your NCO. For many reasons. One of the purposes of the chain of command is to keep everyone informed of the situation at hand. The importance of the chain of command is that it provides stability when incidents come about that need to be dealt with. It sets up the structure for which you report all good and bad things, accidents, mistakes, tardiness and so on. All incidents in essence are intended to be dealt with

    It is very important to respond to Non Commission Officers because they are the back bone of the marine corps and there would be no marine corps if it wasnt for the non comission officers. I have been tought everything i know about the marine corps from ncos . Also ncos have the hardest jobs in the marine corps ,like being a drill instructor or a squad leader.     As it is well known in any of the military branches, the chain of command is of high importance. The chain of command is built of out a single soldier. Those single soldiers are made into a squad. Two to four of those squads put together a platoon. From there, three to five platoons makes for a company. In a closer look, a soldier of an E-4 status or below is patrolled by squad leader which is in fact an NCO. An NCO stands for a non-commission officer which their job is to govern the soldiers. The squad leaders then report platoon sergeants which then will go and report to the senior NCO which is also known as the first sergeant. The first sergeant will oversee the company and guide it.     The definition of disrespect is lack of respect, discourtesy, or rudeness. In the United States Military, there are rules and regulations you must follow, one of them being respect to a non-commissioned officer. No matter the circumstance, whether you agree or not, you are not allowed to talk back, physically fight back, or question judgment. If this does happen, there are consequences and repercussions from the actions taken on your part. Uniformed Code of Military Justice states that you can ultimately be separated, honorably or dishonorably for actions taken on your part. You can also receive an article fifteen, which takes your hard earned money away from you and your family. It also will take any free time you may have, and can also limit your travel by telling you where you are allowed to go. The importance of maintaining correct protocol and Military bearing on and off duty is essential, because to show disrespect to an NCO when in uniform could cause disrespect among civilians about the military in general. Any disrespect towards my leaders, from team leader on up to Sergeant Major of the Army, along with the Platoon Leader on up to the Army Chief of Staff, or the President of the United States, can have a negative effect on the Morale and Welfare of those around me, junior or senior. When a NCO is disrespected in front of other soldiers, junior or senior, if caused a ripple effect in the chain of command. The subordenent soldiers see the disrespectful behavior and begin to think it is okay, even though, it is very wrong. Now that the behavior has been passed on, the leaders will have a harder time dealing with their soldiers. This should include leaving non work-related issues at home, and away from the workplace.
