Casino Bill Pros And Cons
Hai Siddarth,

I like your post in the way you described but I do not find anything for implementing a new casino bill as you are a member of congress. As you said, there are so many pros and cons which come across while passing the bill. You had given a short and good discussion here and it would be more impressive if you would add up some more regarding passing bill. I got so much information which I do not fine in my research. Finally, I appreciate you work, keep up the good work!

Regards,

Niyanth.

) The Tobacco lobbyist commits the fallacy of appeal to force when urging the Senator through the threat of force to vote against the bill that would ban smoking in federal buildings. The argument is fallacious because the Tobacco lobbyists don’t give relevant evidence as to why the Senator should vote against the ban, such as pointing out how it would affect tobacco companies and their products. Instead they threaten the Senator by saying; “they represent a hundred thousand voters in your state.” In other words, if the Senator does not vote against the ban they will make sure that the hundred thousand voters in the Senator’s state speak out against him or her, which could potentially cost the Senator his or her job.…

This paper examines Iowa City's current controversy with the 19-only bar ordinance approved by Iowa City's City Council on August 1, 2003. The controversy of underage drinking that included implementing a 21-ordinance has been an oft-debated issue for Iowa City's City Council who is split over the issue. The current ordinance allows 19 and 20 year olds in the bars after 10 p.m. I have examined several sources and classified them into the following criteria: a) Pro-ordinance based on safety perspectives, b) Pro-ordinance based on unrestricted environment issues, c) Anti-ordinance based on alcohol statistics, d) Anti-ordinance based on crime rates, e) Anti-ordinance based on overall community as it stands in Iowa City today.…

Former Governor Paul Patton introduced the possibility of casino-style gambling in the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Tuesday April 27, 1999. Over the past thirteen years there has been a firestorm of controversy surrounding the costs and benefits – both economic and social – of such an initiative. Gambling, in Kentucky, has evolved largely as a partisan issue with Republican lawmakers leading the opposition. Current Governor Steve Beshear is continuing the fight for casino-style gambling in Kentucky in some form. Governor Beshear has been pressing for casino-style gambling in Kentucky since he was elected in 2007, but, so far, has been unable to get lawmakers to pass legislation. The closest he came was in 2009, whan a divided House approved a bill that would have allowed horse tracks to brin in slot machines. However, the Senate refused to go along and the bill died. Governor Beshear now believes that a bill that does not restrict gaming to race tracks is the best solution. He believes a bill with no restrictions is the fairest and the only way to get it through the house.…

Gambling, drinking, laziness, and Indian attacks on the colonists were major problems at that period of time. Many of the colonist used gaming, and drinking as a way to entertain themselves, so it was mandatory to establish laws to forbid drinking and gaming. People weren’t qualified to farm or survive in that type of environment or survive the Indian attacks. Death rates were high because of starvation, diseases, and accidents from getting involved with Native Americans. Establishing a set of rules and laws was important to forbid gambling, dinking, selling giving or treading weapons of any kind with Native Americans to limit their sources to weapons and to keep peace. It was also important to set laws that encourage people to farm and survive.…

Open up it’s the police! Everyone in the room is rushing around frantically because police officers dressed in body armor with assault rifles in hand are entering into the gambling room. This illegal casino, commonly known as a game room is being raided by a police squad. These raids are becoming more and more common within the Greater Houston area and across our entire state. Many sheriff departments are deciding to make a move on these gambling rooms that are within their tight-knit communities corrupting it. As Sheriff Freddie Poor said, “If the state isn’t going to do something about these illegal game rooms, we sure are.” To me this should not be limited to the certain areas within the state of Texas but be spread across our entire nation to push this illegal activity out. This gambling is coming into our communities with what benefits? Drug trafficking? Gang activity and violence? Theft? None.…
