Case Study: Union Steward
As a Union Steward I had the ability to analyze, explain and apply laws, regulations, rulings and procedures by working with employees as well as Management. At the West Valley the overtime desired list sign up was put out by Management every month before the next quarter. The sign up was created by Management, but lacked some pertinent information. The option for 10 hours, 12 hours and begin tour and end tour overtime were not listed. I explained to Management about the lack of information that was pertinent to overtime procedures. I created a new sign up to assist Management and they used that one instead. Once the sign up was closed I created a list with the names, seniority and a rotation to make the process of calling overtime easier for
