I. Product Description
An insecticide is a pesticide used against insects. They include ovicides and larvicides used against the eggs and larvae of insects respectively. Insecticides are used in agriculture, medicine, industry, and general home use. The use of insecticides is believed to be one of the major factors behind the increase in agricultural productivity in the 20th century. Nearly all insecticides have the potential to significantly alter ecosystems, many are toxic to humans and others are concentrated in the food chain.

A. Physical Properties of Chili Pepper
Chili, the name, which is spelled differently in many regions chili, chile and chilli. The term chili in most of the world refers exclusively to the smaller hot types of capsicum. It is a hot pepper. Even though chili peppers maybe though as vegetable, their culinary usage is, a generally spice, the part of the plant that is usually harvested is the fruit.
This vegetable has a chemical content called Capsaicin that makes them spicy. Interestingly, while all mammals are sensitive to capsaicin, making it unappealing to rabbits and other such garden pests, birds are immune to its effects. Capsaicin has a number of non-culinary applications, including as a pain reliever and as the active ingredient in pepper spray.

B. Physical Properties of Kamias

The increase in desire for perfect produce, drives the need for pesticides today. Much debate of the effects of chemicals used on commercial crops and overall long term effects on humans is an increasing concern. With the increase in advertising of organic produce, many standards of farming have been criticized. Many are claiming a large increase in risk to humans for consuming commercially grown produce, because of the chemicals used to manage such a large volume of crops. There have been many debates of the actual risk of pesticide consumption. With advancing technology and farm equipment, many types of chemical sprays and powders have been used. The actual effect of these pesticides and long term exposure can be harmful to human health.…

Quantitative analysis of Capsaicin was analyzed in three peppers that were expected to differ greatly in their capsaicin content and thus their relative spiciness. The idea was to have a nice range of capsaicin concentrations to clearly reflect the subjective pain one experiences from biting into a chili. Fresh Habanero, Jalapeno and Red Bell Pepper were purchased from the local Family Fresh grocery store to be analyzed via HPLC.…

An insecticide is a substance used by humans to gain some advantage in the struggle with various insects that are considered “pests”. In the sense used here, a pest insect is considered undesirable, from the human perspective, because: (a) it is a vector that transmits disease causing pathogens to humans (such as those causing malaria or yellow fever), or other diseases to livestock or crop plants; or (b) it causes a loss of the productivity or economic value of crop plants, domestic animals, or stored foodstuffs. The abundance and effects of almost all insect pests can be managed through the judicious use of insecticides.…

Plant diseases need to be controlled to maintain the quality and abundance of food, feed, and fiber produced by growers around the world. Different approaches may be used to prevent, mitigate or control plant diseases. Beyond good agronomic and horticultural practices, growers often rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Such input to agriculture have contributed significantly to the spectacular improvements in crop productivity and quality over the past 100 years. however, the environmental pollution caused by excessive use and misuse of agrochemicals, as well as fear- mongering by some opponents of pesticides, has led to considerable changes in people’s attitudes towards the use of pesticides in agriculture. Today, there are strict regulations on chemical pesticide use, and there is political pressure to remove the most hazardous chemicals from the market. Additionally, the spread of plant diseases in natural ecosystems may preclude successful application of chemicals, because of the scale to which such application might have to be applied. Consequently, some pest management researchers have focus their efforts on developing alternative inputs to synthetic chemicals for controlling pest and diseases. Among these alternatives are those referred to as biological control.…

The extract of 3000 M MG showed 60 and 50 % germination of radish and sand fescue respectively, on the day 4, compared with control (Figure 7). MG inhibited shoot and root growth of radish at the concentration greater than 1 M (Figure 8), and inhibited shoot and root growth of sand fescue at the concentrations greater than 10 and 1M, respectively (Figure 8 ). The inhibitory activity was increased with increasing the concentration of MG (Figure 9). Considering the I50 values of the shoot and root growth of radish were 10.69 and 4.74 M, respectively and the shoot and root growth of sand fescue were 626.12 and 254.46 M, respectively (Table 2). Therefore, MG may have potential as either herbicide or a template of new groups of herbicides. These results are consistent with other findings that natural compounds may have possibility to use as herbicides (Dayan et al. 2000; Duke et al. 2002; Cantrell et al. 2012; Dayan et al. 2012; Dayan and Duke 2014), and are more environmentally friendly than many of currently used synthetic herbicides (Hoagland and Cutler 2000; Duke et al. 2010; Dayan and Duke…
