P1-The promotional mix for Lambeth College
ADVERTISING
Lambeth college receives a budget every year to spend on opening evening, newspaper ads, billboards, enrolment and poster on bus shelters. This mean that Lambeth college will spend a large amount of money on advertising meaning that the marketing department team must know the methods of what advertising work and how to advertise i.e. the design of the promotional content.
SALES PROMOTION
In account to sales promotion Lambeth College uses sales promotion to all students who paid for the course for example, international student will get a discount off their fee when they start the course by doing this it persuades students to join Lambeth College as the place of education.
PERSONAL SELLING
Personal selling happens when the marketing manager or a member of the marketing team of Lambeth College does drop in sessions at secondary schools targeting year 11 to year 10 student. This is a good way of personal selling because the student will be thinking about the next steps of education, whether they’re going into six form or college depending on what course they want to study. In the drop in session the student attend a presentation for the fact about Lambeth College and advantages of joining the college and by doing this it can persuade student to the college in the next academic year.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Every year Lambeth college raises money for red nose day. Business student are more targeted at this event because business can come up with an idea on how to raise money and then when the money is raised the students get to choose what charities the want the money to be donated to. By Lambeth College supporting a good cause it also reflects on Lambeth College’s reputation.
DIRECT MARKETING
Every person who visits Lambeth College is asked for their email address so that the college can send regular information on what’s taking place at the college i.e. enrolment days and open evenings that’s coming up.
