Business Level 3 Unit 1 P1
Task 1: Planning for the meeting.

I am carrying out the plans for a sales meeting that my manager is having with the managing director of a local company who is looking to buy trainers for both men and women. First I need to plan the meeting so that he doesn’t appear to be inexperienced as he is new to this job.

Time of meeting: 10.30 am on 25th November 2015.

Venue: in the business board room.

Booking arrangements: send the details through to the customer and inform key staff members included in the sales meeting.

Resources for the sales meeting:
- The range of trainers including personalized ones that they sell and the prices.
- Research on the customer that is coming to see you – how many men and women are in the football club so

- If it is for charity and he isn’t going to make any money on them then he can get 20% off the final selling price.

Task 2: Conducting the meeting

Find out the customers’ requirements by asking these questions:
- How many people are you buying trainers for?
- What kind of trainer do you require as we provide for a range of sports activities?
We can offer the trainer personalized as well as the box in the same design is this something that would interest you?
- Have you seen our range of trainers already and have an idea of what you might like and the different sizes you require?

The things you should be listening out for in the interview are:
- How many pairs of trainers the customer is looking for.
- What sizes he is going for.
- What type of trainer he wants.
- Whether the trainers are going to be all the same or a selection.
- What things he seems quite persuaded about when you suggest them so that you can maybe bring up this option later on in the

This way he has to reply you and give you a lead as to where you could go next in the sales meeting and offer him the product he does actually want.
You can also win him round by telling him that the trainers have all be tested and have passed the comfort test giving the wearer ultimate comfort because the trainer takes the shape of the customers foot and every customer has given a positive rating on the products they have brought from us. Also you can go into detail about the football boots that we offer as he is buying them for the local football club. Also you can let the customer know that some of our running trainers are exclusively sold to us and our company is the only one that supplies them to the public.
Finally you can offer the customer the discounts that you have been authorized to give and make him see that with these it is the ultimate
