Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa Nowadays, there are many skyscrapers in the Middle East that are built after the remarkable development in the region. The most famous urban city in the Middle East is Dubai which has lots and lots of beautiful buildings. Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa are most popular skyscrapers in Dubai. They have some similarities but they have many more differences in their backgrounds, and the constructions. Burj Al Arab has a modern design and several qualities that make it a unique skyscraper. Burj Al Arab is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was built in 1999, designed by Tom Wright at Atkins, and cost 650 million dollars. Inside the construction there are hotels, restaurants, and a shopping mall. The building consists of 60 floors. Moreover, the dimensions of the skyscraper are built to a give specific curved shape, so its area is 309,473 m2 and its height is 1,056 feet. Burj Khalifa was built to be taller than Burj Al Arab, and to be the tallest and the most striking skyscraper in the world. It is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates near Burj Al Arab. Burj Khalifa is younger than Burj Al Arab; it was built in 2010, designed by Adrain Smith at SOM and cost 1.5 billion dollars. Inside the construction there are hotels, restaurants, and a shopping mall like Burj Al Arab, but they are more expansive. There are 206 floors in the tower. In addition, the designer focused to make the construction has the tallest height in the world. It is 2,722 feet high and its area is 526,760 m2, so it is much bigger and taller than Burj Al Arab. All in all, Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa are great places to visit. they are very attractive and bewitching even though they have lots of differences and few similarities.     The Bahrain World Trade Center is the first large-scale building that will introduce the use of wind power to supply the needs of the building. The plan remodeled a hotel and a shopping mall in a prestigious area near the Arabian Gulf. The two buildings that make up the complex are inspired by the shape of the sails of ships that use wind energy to surf like the WTC uses wind energy to supply the needs of the activities taking place inside it. The project also aims to show the world that countries of the United Arab Emirates, known globally for its oil production, also have launched renewable energy. The two towers are placed on a podium, 3 stories high, that sits below grade and houses the entertainment complex that includes restaurants, a shopping center and parking complex. The two towers are joined by 3 bridges that support each of the 3 wind turbines erected at the project. All the buildings were designed to optimize the passage of wind through the area where the turbines are placed, increasing its natural rate by up to 30%. Other projects that sought to incorporate wind power failed because of high costs incurred to implement the technology. In the case of the WTC, the plan was carried out because the conventional design supports 3 windmills, 29 meters in diameter each. Although these turbines were designed to minimize vibration and noise, they are but a small variation on windmills used in wind farms, and therefore the budget required to be devoted to scientific research was minimal. The 3 windmills running at full capacity can provide between 11 and 15% of the energy the building demands, which amounts to between 1100 to 1300 megawatts per year.…
