Bobby Flay Research Paper
Chef Anthony Robert William Flay also known as Bobby Flay. Flay was born in New York City, on December 10, 1964. He was raised by his parents Bill and Dorothy Flay and has three sisters. His family is from Ireland which makes Flay an Irish American. He was born with his parents red hair and freckles on his face. He attended a denominational school which was Catholic, which makes his whole family Catholic. He was raised in a wealthy neighborhood, the upper east side of Manhattan. Flay was eight years old when he asked his father for an Easy-Bake Oven for Christmas. His father felt like an Easy Bake Oven was for a girl, so he thought a G.I Joe would be a better for fit for an eight-year-old boy. But he could not manage that position so he quit. For a while he tried working as a stockbroker but he was not satisfied, he began working as the executive chef at the Miracle Grill in 1988 and stayed there till 1990. Later on, he found work as a chef at Bud and Jams, where he was introduced to southwestern and Cajun cuisine. The restaurant owner Jerome Kretchmer was looking for a southwestern style chef was impressed by Bobby Flay’s cooking and hired him as the executive chef at Mesa Grill. In 1991, he became a partner in that same restaurant the Mesa grill. Two years later he opened Bolo Bar & Restaurant. Bobby also opened two Mesa Grills one in Las Vegas and the other in the Bahamas. He continued adding more restaurants to the chain he opened the first Bobby’s Burger Place in New York. Several years later he opened seven more locations, the largest one being in Maryland. Other than opening restaurants he hosted 13 television shows on Food Network. These show are no longer on air, “Hot Off the Grill with Bobby Flay”, “Grillin' & Chillin'”, “Food Nation”, and “3 Days to Open Bobby Flay”. These show are still airing “Boy Meets Grill”, “BBQ with Bobby Flay”, “Throwdown! With Bobby Flay”, “Grill It! He one of my chef out there. I love watching his show. I watch mostly every culinary show that he was in. My favorite one when he was in "Worst Cooks of America". Flay was versing another chef name Ana. I was rooting for his team the whole time. Bobby lose the first season. Then came back to win the last two season he was in. He was so funny in it. He show you have to make the nicest, formal, classy, and fancy dishes. I learn more about him and the ways he cook his food. When he was little kid it was bad. He didn't go to school at all. Bobby actually flunked out of school. I’m just like him. I'm not really a bad kid. We both don’t like school. Him more than me. He went to College became a well-known chef and highly respected. I'm trying to do what he did. But not the part of me flunking out of school. I go to Monroe College and trying to become a chef like him. His story is good to learn from. Everyone should know his story. Being a dropout then to come to being one of the greatest chef of 21st century. Not a lot of people can do that.
