Philosophical-Theoretical Foundations in Nursing
1. No answer question #3
The nursing theory that I would like to emphasize in my future paper is the Salmon White’s Construct for Public Health Nursing. This theory describes Public health as an organized societal effort to protect, promote and restore the health of people and public health nursing as focused on achieving and maintaining public health.
White gave 3 practice priorities i.e.; prevention of disease and poor health, protection against disease and external agents and promotion of health. For these 3 general categories of nursing intervention have also been put forward, they are:
1. Education directed toward voluntary change in the attitude and behaviour of the subject
2. Engineering directed at managing risk-related variables
3. Enforcement directed at mandatory regulation to achieve better health.
The theory will not focus on specific diseases but Construct for Public Health Nursing theory will mostly be used in the study in the community. It can be a good bases for how can people in the community gain enough education and knowledge in particular diseases, how to prevent it and the promotion of health in the said areas. This theory affects me as nurse by giving help to the community how to be aware in order for them to take care of themselves better.

1. Enhance question #4

Project Title: Recruiting of Students in the Hospitals as Part-time Employees
I. Introduction:
Duty time for nurses varies from every health care institution. In general, there are two duty shifts: (1) day shift and (2) night shift. Most hospitals have two 12-hour shifts while some has three 8-hour shifts (2 day shifts and 1 night shift to complete the 24-hour duty). This implies that 2 or 3 nurses are required to provide a continuous health care service for the whole day to a single patient. In this instance, some nurses have trouble in their shifts, why is that so?
