We have many things going for us, such as our strong military, our booming economy, and our relatively low unemployment rate. But we also have a negative side, which includes our national debt, high costing health insurance, and the large taxes we have to pay. Overall, there is some bad with the good, and vice versa.…

The word freedom has a different meaning for different people. Freedom to me means being free from a single ruler who dictates and who goes by his own rules. Freedom has affected America immensely and has brought upon many individuals for the thought of having freedom for the first time. We sometimes take our freedom for granted and do not think of how people dream of having freedom. America has freedom because it was fought for and lives were taken for the future generations to come and enjoy the freedom that is limited in very few places on earth. Individuals that fought and helped in the wars had to endure the pain from the traumatic scenes from their experience. Freedom can affect you in many ways, from the way you think to the way…

America means a lot of things to me, like freedom, safe, brave, equal, and responsibility. The reason I picked these things is because I think they are all very important to this country. The reason why I picked freedom is because in America, you have the right to do and say whatever you want. For example, the phrase freedom of speech, which means that someone’s right to say something is protected within certain limits. What that means is that someone can say whatever they want, but after you say it, there could be consequences, like someone getting hurt if you yelled “fire” in a place that has a lot of people or if you walked into an airport and yelled “bomb.” You have the right to say that, but if you do, there will be consequences like going to jail or something like that. There is also something called freedom of expression, which means people can behave like they want to and wear what they want to.…

Being an American means different things to different people. To me, being an American encompasses a number of factors. One of the factors in the first amendment of the constitution, freedom of religion. That right is giving Americans the ability to to practice and believe in a religion of their choice. This also give Americans the right to not believe or practice a religion. This is American to me because, not all countries have the freedom to practice or not practice whatever religion they chose. In those countries they all have to practice the same religion. In addition I also believe that women's rights is another part of being an American. Women used to not be able to: vote, own their own land and being able to go to college. Seeing that…

In my opinion America is the greatest country on earth. One of the best things about America is our freedom. Our freedom is something to truly be proud of! In many other countries you have to filter what you say, but not in great ole America you are legally able to say whatever you want. In some Asian countries young children and lower class adults have to work in factories for very low pay, just because there is no other options. In America this is not the case, here we could work where ever we desire, with the right education of course. Religion, religion is a big one. In many counties what, or whom you worship is controlled by the government.…

Freedom is something that shouldn't be taken for granted. Freedom for me is something we abuse. For example freedom of speech we use that like its nothing people in other places don't have that freedom. Most people don't think about freedom as we do stuff during are day. We don't usually think "How did we get our freedom? " well that's a good question. People fought for are freedom we don't think about that, people risked their lives for us.
